how about the a graphics winner gets to
1. get an item in a game he plays {this idea was stated by Xerdge, not my own idea}
2. gets to pick the next "Theme" of the competition {for instance, something to due with space, nature, Sonic the Hedgehog, etc}
3. lets bring up a literature competition. similar to the graphics SOTW, expect maybe a POTW {Poem of the Week}, or a SSOTW {Short Story of the Week}
4. If Xerdges idea gets placed into action for the art winners, can the literature winners have the same benefits?
5. Could we win points with these competitions?
just some questions/ideas that ran through my mind

comptitions dont work because it will not attract new members all it does is that existing members have something to post about

i have an idea as far as ur signature thing goes.. make some tutorials or make a video on youtube and show people how to do the basics on making signatures.. for ex what program to use, brushes to download.. where to get renders and such.. cause not many people know how to make a signature or how to even start with one.. if u made a tutorial then maybe it would spark some interest and u would have more ppl in the sotw contests and stuff.. and also most of this site dying is from you all know that d2 is pretty much dead.. really need to branch out into console games to add more peeple, cause nextgenboards is doing really well and they have shit for like call of duty and halo and its active....


submit contests for other stuff rather than signatures.. like music contests or something.. make a category for best song, best original, funniest, different styles, idk...

doi something like funniest photo, nicer car photo, best looking photo, cutest couple.. just stuff like that.. idk what to give out for prizes.. thats up to yall.. but i mean ideas are limitless.. it just depends on who wants to put them to use.. not really any dumb idea.. i mean look at the guy who invented the pocket ashtray.. dumb idea right???? he made money though


to attract people you need to just advertise like you said.. offer good people and fun games.. tell them this is more than a gaming website.. its also a community.. which is partially true.... hell give older member points for recruiting people or something.. idk..

-also you could bring out some old school multiplayer games like chess,checkers, battleships etc.. where u can play against a bot or people that are online in the forum...

-have games and riddles for different games a.k.a. in diablo 2 what is the fifth act and 4th quest called and the first person to answer wins.. do somethin like that

-or u could just random brain teasers like the ole.. stuck in a room with only a desk and no windows or doors.. how do u get out?

-umm, give people credit to recruit new people.. i understand that advertising cots money but spit has done enough with that.. its our turn to start bringing people here.. a community is only as strong as its weakest link " yes its an old and gay saying but it works"

i like the option of online chess. I would love playing agianst you guys.
If we do have online chess, i vote for a tournament system once a week. That way whoever has done the best gets credits, possibly.
