I have a huge problem, please someone help me. I play with a Barbarian character in Hell Difficulty. I kill Mephisto in Act III, and when I proceed in the red portal in order to enter Act IV, the game suddently freezes and does not respond to anything, not even Alt+Ctrl+Del. I press the escape button and the game crashes, it really disappears from the taskbar.When I start a new game with the same character, I appear in Act III and the waypoint in Act IV is not activated.Please, I desperately need help!!!

Do you have any mods installed? Or are you using anything like maphack?

No i play the 1.10 patch with no mods installed, nothing hacked

Maybe the disc is scratched or dirty and is causing the game to lock up when its tryin to read the movie. Check your disc to make sure its clean and such. Also, try and run fdisk or scandisk, maybe one of the diablo files is screwed up.

I have installed the no_cd_patch and i play without the cd-rom.Thanks, but any other suggestions ?

No it still doesnt work and i dont know what to do. My barb is clvl 83 (single player mode) and i dont have the courage to start another one. Maybe i start building another character (paladin maybe?...)
