are drugs too taboo for bzs?
i'm going to quote seth rogen in the move knocked up
"if it grows in the ground, its probably not that bad for you"

that is my personal feeling... i do agree with you kellard that the synthetic drugs are just ****ed and shouldn't be taken by anyone.

kellard, my comment as to your "4-year old background" which you seemed to hold onto, was simply a measure of the illegality statement, "its bad for you because its illegal" well thats what we're trying to disprove, its not as bad for you as alcohol so why the **** is it illegal.

and for your info, there's different levels of highs. if you smoke one bowl, your probably gonna be pretty functional. if you smoke 4-5 bowls, you might not be able to form sentences let alone rational thoughts, now i'm a "lightweight" so my numbers may differ from someone elses, but it doesn't matter. you can technically be over the legal limit for driving while intoxicated and not feel the effects of the alcohol.

as for kaze: you're right. every person will handle p0t differently. but you have to ask yourself about that girls home life, about what that girls social life is like. if she's looking for love from an ashed bowl, then yes, other aspects of her life are going to falter. same goes with alcohol, same goes with anything that the human body can consume/absorb in order to release endorphans. you can't blame p0t for that girls downfall, you just cant. people can form dependencies on anything, its not p0ts fault that it felt good when she got stoked, it made her forget that her parents were abusive, it made her forget she didn't have the best of friends... its her fault, her parents fault, and the other people around her's fault for not caring enough to ask her how her day was

Ever heard of desoxyn (prescribed methamphetamine) or diamorphine (prescribed heroin in the UK)? lawl.

My opinion is, it's the attitude, not the drug.
If the person has the attitude that they should throw life away for the drugs, so be it, they deserve it, but that isn't the drug, it's the attitude.

I was trying to say the drug has harmed her body and is now not as healthy as it was before. Forget about things? You forget and feel relaxed when you do the drug. It isn't permanent. After shes done with her session, she will inevitably feel the same as she did before. But this is still arguing beside the point. Its harming her and isn't a permanent solution to any problems unless it is for medical usage.

And an overwhelming number of people's attitudes cannot be trusted.

kellard you're absolutely right... but who is to say that someone is trustworthy or not. who is able to pass judgement on those who deserve to do something and those that dont?

kaze, was it the drug that has harmed her body? or her inaffection to do the actions she once loved. teens go through many different phases and changes. i used to love playing hockey and now i'm impartial to it. its not mj's fault, i just dont do it anymore. she could be going through a phase that she doesn't know what she wants anymore and mj doesnt make her make that decision, she she just decides not to make any decisions that would impact her life in the near future.

and aemaeth, i comlpetely agree. it goes along with a recurring statement in my previous posts, you can't blame p0t for the people that use it.

My point is this, i'm not trying to say 'm an exception, i'm saying it's not drugs or luck, it's personal responsibility and how much you care about things that determine what you do after you smoke a bowl.

Kaze, you've taken some steps back and your current argument is that **** is unhealthy for you. I agree. I also know that whipped cream is bad for you, Anyone who eats whipped cream should know it contains more than 100 chemicals, also, some people become morbidly obese when they eat whipped cream. I know this girl who used to be very hot, then once she discovered Whipped Cream she got fat and dropped out of school because no one likes a fat girl. Worst of all, whipped cream can sometimes be laced with Iced Cream, which is a much more potent desert, and has been known to give you brain freeze.

This thread is now about how whipped cream is bad, all i'm trying to say is that you were healthier before you ate whipped cream

get my point? =p

Uzis are illegal because people cannot be trusted with them. Oh, not everyone would go out and kill someone, but there are those who would, maybe even a minority, so they are illegal.

I understand that no one is going to go out and stab soneone to death or shoot someone to death with a joint or some coke, but its the fact that in some situations, you cannot trust people to be good about things.

exactly... but what is the worst that could happen with p0t? your only doing damage to yourself. thats why uzis are illegal (i know you used it as a metaphor, or an example, but i'm using it too), because it harms multiple people at once. p0t only hurts you if you are to do it in excess amounts.

Yes, it is also up to the person I agree. Although if you wanted to keep a healthy body, then smoking isn't the way to go. I don't believe whipped cream is as harmful as MJ. I haven't taken a big step back. But I understand your point.

Quoted from: http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/ongoing/marijuan*a.html

Take away the * from MJ. (I have edited censored words to MJ)

"Harvard University researchers report that the risk of a heart attack is five times higher than usual in the hour after smoking MJ."

"There are also many long-term health consequences of MJ use. According to the National Institutes of Health, studies show that someone who smokes five joints per week may be taking in as many cancer-causing chemicals as someone who smokes a full pack of cigarettes every day."

According to the government. Smoking five joints a week is like taking a full pack of cigarettes every day. I don't believed smoking cigarettes is bad so I don't think I'd take anything five time as strong. The harmfulness of MJ is in another league compared to supermarket foods.

"Any determination of a drug's valid medical use must be based on the best available science undertaken by medical professionals. The Institute of Medicine conducted a comprehensive study in 1999 to assess the potential health benefits of MJ and its constituent cannabinoids. The study concluded that smoking MJ is not recommended for the treatment of any disease condition. In addition, there are more effective medications currently available. For those reasons, the Institute of Medicine concluded that there is little future in smoked MJ as a medically approved medication."

I have always said MJ is okay for medical purposes, however the government says its not recommended for any diseases. I'm not the kind of person that believes the government is bull crapping out their butts. Just like I don't believe they ordered the 9/11 attacks.

i dont believe in the 9/11 thing either... but too many politicians are making too much money off of it being illegal. so of course they would say that stupid crap about it being as bad for you as a pack of cigarettes. there are very few government-funded studies that i trust

Its basically a summation of the pros and cons of MJ. It has medical benefits yes. There are pros and there are cons. But when the cons are quote from your source: "Research findings for long-term ********* use indicate some changes in the brain similar to those seen after long-term use of other major drugs of abuse."

Its great in the medical department. From your source I have learned that medical MJ is called Marinol.

Take the * away from MJ.

I have read your source. And it still says there are harmful effects of MJ. I have already acknowledge the great therapeutic powers of MJ. Medical MJ is great if used correctly. But more people uses and abuses MJ without medical conditions and it is harmful to their bodies.

There is your problem.

There was a study done a few years ago which showed that even the heaviest ********* smokers were no more at risk for cancer than the average person. I'm not going to source because it has already been posted in several threads before.

No ones arguing that ********* is not harmful to your body. Everyone understands that there are no 'good' chemicals and that every drug can be harmful to your body. But since they have more harmful drugs on the market (Nicotine/Alcohol/Desoxyn/ect) then why is a less harmful plant illegal?

Kazes point is pointless. it's just a fact. No one is going to disagree with you. So why spam it all over the thread?

I think you may have missed something in the posts. Every time I stated how harmful MJ was, I was countered by many people about how ignorant I was and was directed to countless post about MJ being so therapeutic, in which I already have agreed that the use of medical MJ properly is justifiable. I said you guys were posting away from the point and MJ use without medical problems is harmful. Since I guess suddenly everybody changed their minds and agrees that MJ is harmful. I don't have to say it anymore.

kaze as far as drugs go in general (especially those that give you recreational intoxication) you aren't going to find one more forgiving for your body or mind than cannabis. yeah, it's bad for your body but much more less than say alcohol or tobacco
