Read the bible, does it mention half of the deep sea creatures, how bout the very rare golden tamarind? No it probably says giraffes, bears, lions, monkeys, tigers, and all the well known animals.

You talk about the Bible like you know so much about it...yet say you aren't going to read it. I've read it...in depth...about three times now. Come back when you catch up. As for the 7,000 feet thing, I thought I had read it as 700 feet, which is why I brought up the instance of the guy that dived 800 feet to tack and oil rig...honest mistake. In all truth...I can judge you in whatever fashion I choose. And for the record, your English/literary skills are so horrid...I can't actually belive you're preffering to be judged by them....which I would judge you as still a teenager.

The reason I'm not Christian(any longer), is because I don't worship Yeshua/Jesus. He was a man, even if an extrodinary one, but he was mortal. That's my belief anyway.

see, thats where i see a bit of a discrepency. On a side note although i don't follow the religion im definitly don't belive in anti-christianitism (if thats a word) , as well as that, i do believe someone named jesus or jeshua or watever was an actual person. You're 17...and you think that makes you mature? I know 41 year olds that aren't mature yet...you're no exemption. I type over 200 WPM...big deal...but those are 'correct' spelling of the words in the English language, and proper use of puncutation. Back on topic....the Bible says we are All the children of GOD. No one person is above the others...but we are all free to persue wisdom and knowledge and truth. Obviously, Yeshua, like Soloman, had this in aplenty...and he was fashinioned into an idol of those times.

But if we are free to pursue wisdom and knowledge how come early scientists were treated so harshly for going against the churches teaching. God...maybe real or not (i choose not too) but because of things like that is why i dislike christianity.

They were free to pursue such things, just like others....but I never said there wasn't risk or consequences, or even prices to pay for such wisdom and knowledge; there always are. Higher wisdom and knowledge leads to things others without equal level of overstanding, don't grasp. Because they don't understand it, and can't explain it, they mistrust it and seek to do away with it. Mixing up a batch of what today is a common thing we call Medicine back in the older days and centuries, was viewed with skepticism and as witchcraft...because it wasn't understood or could be explained.

yes exactly. The whole we can't understand it therefor its bad is what I dislike about history. Carl Sagan said during one of his cosmos episodes if christianity and other religions at the time didn't hinder scientific progress, all discoveries like Newton's laws and general relativity would have been discovered hundreds of years ago (but by different people) leading to a far more advanced and civilized society today.

How can people be so naive to believe that we were created in God's image, and that there are no other intelligent species out there, maybe God created Aliens after himself and they created us by placing an organism on this planet? Are mentally handicapped people or people like the Tree Man in Africa created for no reason but to live in torment for all their lives after God as well? There is no hard evidence that a single God exists, and judging by history you can plainly see how Christianity has completely copied over other religions like Egypt's. They had the exact same ideals aside from one and only one God, and they were around before Christianity ever began. Doesn't the bible even say not to push their religion on anyone else and I'm pretty sure it also somewhere mentions not to worship the way people do in Churches. You'll all burn in Hell. Whom ever made this thread, will also burn in Hell apparently. Don't worry you can just repent right...? No matter what you've done, even though repenting doesn't actually change a person, basically just saying sorry for killing all those people I want to go into Heaven now.
