Can U edit Chars On closed??

You can't edit your character on closed B.Net. Whoever said they 'edited their char' was talking about open battle.net, or was completely lying if he mentioned doing it on closed. If you wanna edit an open char go to the downloads portion of D2Sector and grab ZonFires editor 8.0, then download the 8.2 also.

There is a way, but you need to get access in one of the servers, where your char is playing, or where all the characters are stored. It's also highly illegal and they log every try to access it. So, I wouldn't try those passwords, but I can post the URL here, if you like. It's for one of the European servers.

Ahh I did know how they have all of the characters on servers, but, once (if you happen to) you gain access to their server, what would be the next step? Also, could you post that link?

It's one of the game servers.

If you would gain access to that one, you would need to get your character on the same server in game. After that I don't know, probably hex edit it.

And don't try any passwords out, unless you wan't to get caught. I don't know if they would make legal issues out of it, if you're just trying a password, but you never know.

I wonder if it would be possible to get a brute forcer or dictionary attacker to find out the admin password, and then from there if someone could make it in, don't admins have the ability to delete logs? If so then if someone attempted to brute force the admin password, then got in, they could go and delete all the logs from the brute force attempts. I think? I'm really new to cracking passwords and gaining access to servers but I'm trying to learn.

I don't think the password is that simple, it would take more than a week, and they would notice that someone is trying to do it.

And since they are probably monitoring every authorized and unauthorized access, they will notice you, once you get in.

Yeah it is much more than that, once you gain access, you would have to figure out the next step. God knows whats past the log-in screen.

1 time i was making a gamem typed in a bunch of shit then when i was making i joined a game isntead and its apssword was the e same asss wat i typed in somehow i forced a password onto the game....***in weird.but they said it had now password....but wen i look in the autotab it showed wat i typed in so yea mauybe there is ways .btw 1 time i made my cube dissapear into a buffer then i had aproblem wiht my bot and i think somehow it made it were my cube epeared it was ***in weird.

you can hack your B-Net chars, within your D2 files, there are .ds2's of every character that you have ever taken into a game. Now finding them is hard, hacking them is easy, but replacing them is the hardest part. to explain it we have to look at what happends when your computer crashes. Periodly your Battle.net characters are backed up onto your hard drive, Now Blizzard servers will use the copy of the character on your HD if and ONLY IF, your connection from B-net was unexpectedly interrupted and your copy of the character is within 8 seconds of that termination point. finally to further protect security, the character has to be 97% alike the character that was last stored on the battle.net server. Which would be the char that you had logged on with. so if you want to hack, go at it...... i wish you the best of luck, and the best coffie that the world has 2 offer cause ur gonna need it. It can be done, however i dont recomend it. I know that some of you arent going to believe me and i dont expect you to. but i can be done, i know because i have done it myself. I have always keep this kinda a secret, but Siluru directly asked me so now my gaurded secret is out so u guyz might as well know. Please dont make this into a huge deal because in all truth it wasnt. Now i didnt make no godly character, no Unbeatable PK. My accomplishments on closed b-net are so small they are almost insignificant. the only time that i attempted and succeeded hacking closed battle.net i raised my strength by one point, it was no great feat but it was important to me. so call me what u will, but your characters can be edited on the Battle.net servers

OOTF, where are these char files found though? Within the Diablo 2 folder? I am definetly going to try this out now, I think if I ever get it to work, I'll raise my vitality. One point. . ZZZzzz... This may take a while to figure out.
