Concerning Lag on Sc

I was wondering how I can correct an issue I have on Sc.
When I log on my "login ping" is usually around 63
I can join games no problem, but if the game has more than 3 people in it, it freezes and lags me out.
When I make games no one can join
I use a High Speed DSL connection.
Just wondering if someone has any pointers on how to correct these lag and joining issues.
(I also have the same issues playing D2 on open as far as no one being able to join my games)
Is there a router, or "port" solution i should be aware of?
Also, I have my Firewall on "medium"
I run windows xp (not vista)

did this just happen recently? or has it been a long term problem? i no when i had DSL i couldnt make no games even with my firewall turned off

Over the last 8-9 years or so, I've had dial-up, Cable, and now DSL, wasn't till I got DSL that I got the issues I stated in my first post. I read somewhere about changing ports or something, maybe someone with a little knowledge of this can point me in the right direction.

darn ur luck with dsl sucks when i had it it just wouldnt let me make games
