Halo 3 Recon & Fable 2 Anyone?

Hey wassup all,

For anyone who knows the legendary sci-fi shooters Halo (1,2,3) , well Bungie has just recently released a new announcement of a new game in the series (and not the retarded halo wars series) Halo 3 Recon, where you play a UNSC Drop Soldier and are stuck behind enemy lines. From the trailer i've seen theres a new covert rifle with suppressor and new armors which look rad as hell. Bungie site Halo 3 Recon files n such *link* It drops fall 2009 but looks like it may take on a more stealth-type combat which I have been hoping for since halo 2.. I will definitely be interested in what kind of multi-player and special editions will turn out to be (imo halo 3 was not any great improvement to the series, i prefer halo 1 more than 2/3).

On the other hand, in 20 minutes Fable 2 drops in stores and looks like a need-to-have game for any 360 owner, especially if you're xbox live connected and can get the extras being released for download soon after it release (online co-op patch is the rumor smartass2) so if I can straighten up enough to not look so stonedsmoking: and pulled over before i can get to the store I'm gonna pick it up I think lmao.


Any of you Halo or Fable players out there got somethin to add or sumthin you heard about the game please I wanna know what you think of these games and if you're like to buy em like I am.

Don't like Recon. It doesn't have the masterchief and/or any other Spartans. That and unless Bungie can ****ing realize that they should market to real players, and not some shitty 8 year olds, I'll probably refuse to play it. Halo 3 is at this moment, no skill required.

However, I am syked for Fable 2. I played Fable/ TLC dozens of times each and mastered them each time.

And I'd thought I'd mention that Halo Wars is not retarded and is not being made by Bungie. Just because it isn't your style of soup doesn't make it retarded. And unless it effects you in any way, nor will it be retarded.

I apologise for calling it retarded you're right its just not what i tend to play, just a bit pissy lately since i had wisdom teeth cut out- my bad. I do agree with you guys, but the look of a silenced assault riffle and the steathly appearance seems interesting enough to me to rent it at least lol.

Fable 2 is the main focus of mine right now, problem is im so drugged (legal & illegals) up that I cant drive up to a store. If anyone has had the pleasure of playin it please share a lil bit about it and what you like / dislike about it so far. Has anyone heard about the co-op xbl patch supposedly coming out for this week?

Now that I disagree with. Halo 3 may be mediocre, but in no way was 1 or 2 mediocre. Thats just an oxymoron.

In all standards Halo 1 is better than Fable 1. And I believe halo was made first, although I may be wrong.

Halo 1 was the game that launched with the original xbox, so in essence it was the first game ever played by those who bought the xbox- and it was by far the best, i still prefer it over halo 3 or 2. Fable 1 was good, I mastered good & evil characters too easily though, too repetitive. Which is why I'm anxious to play F2 because I hear all these release notes talking of huge replay value and random variable which the first Fable lacked.. cant wait to play it.

Fable 2 is amazing so far. I'm loving the interactions. Though I wish you could be more specific with who you attract cause when I have a crowd of 3 women and 5 guys suddenly in love with me something's wrong.

Sorry Blue, Halo 2 was a mediocre sequel to one of the best games in it's genre and Halo 3 kept with the pattern of sequels that can't deliver. As for Halo Wars? I'm a big strategy fan (I own several of the Command & Conquer titles and have always been a big fan of the genre) and Halo Wars looks like absolute crap. It's just Microsoft wanting to cash in on the franchise as much as they can.

Yeah I got Fable 2 as well, I'm pretty far in, I'm thinking I'm almost done but I went rambo on that game. I started out evil and maxed out evil within like 2 hours of starting the game cause I just massacred people and had all the towns against me so I remade as a good character. The thing I like is that a lot of the quests aren't like Fable 1 where it was like Go protect so and so from bandits, or if you are evil, go attack the same so and so with the bandits. They are completely different quests, main quests so far are usually the same. I also like that the world changes around you like the old town where it's either nicest place in Bowerstone or it becomes the slums with no guards.

Only thing I noticed that kinda bugged me was that there is no mana so you can cast infinitely with no problem. I was able to max like 3 spells and just destroy everything like nobody's business. The dog is cool but can get rather annoying when you have something to dig up every like 2 feet once you max his treasure finding skills, so I stopped digging most of the time.
