Nice, I used to have an 03 GT. I sure miss it.

Spent about 30 minutes last night and put my black valve cover on and gave it a really quick cold air intake. It used to be sucking air from right above the trans so I figured a little change would help. If I have the right piece I'm going to change it today again to make it a tad better. :3

Got some HPC Coated Pacemaker Extractors, 2x High Flow Cats and a twin 2.5" exhaust to replace my old rooted 2.5" Twin. Will post some pics when i clean the car up :/ still dirty in the engine bay after the radiator cap came off and coolant went everywhere.

Fixed my intake so it's actually getting cold air :3

Here is my engine bay from about 2004. Currently has the covers off to be painted black and the air box has been restored to normal with a high flow panel filter instead of the pod. Will post a newer one with the HPC extractors etc one day :/

Looking good Spit. For some odd reason the last photo there makes your car look like a toy... weird haha.

Here's my 04 SRT-4 last night I had it, **** I miss it...

Looks good. I am over my car atm. New extractors that were put on are leaking slightly so was going to take it back to the place to get it checked out (2hrs away) tuesday but today my alternator decided to die... Now have to fix that :/ was only 2yrs old too. Cheapest i can do is $220 for a reconditioned.

Alternator isn't that bad a fix man. Then again looking @ your engine shot I can't even find it so it's probably a lot of labour just to get at it. Lame.

Sooo Im being torn apart between either a 06-07 STI and a EVO 9.


Both the cars have about the same amount of hourses: 300 or so.

Both cars cost about the same: 20,000$

Both of them are all wheel drive.

These cars have been going at it back and forth updating their cars.
So this is what the STI looks like on the inside:

So pros and cons of both?

I personally like how the STI looks and just the feel of owning a STI...

which one would you rather own and why?

I'd say if you're looking for 06-07 go STI. Definitely.

I've beaten an evo with my SRT-4 and it was stock. I can keep up with an STI but I don't think I could beat it, if I could of it would of been hitting 5th gear anyhow.

And personally I think STIs seem a lot more sound than the older evos.

If you get an STI though, look into putting the intercooler @ the front instead of @ the scoop. I think it would be more effective there.
