installing vista/ram issue
#1
Ok i had to reinstall windows last week and when i went to install windows xp pro i kept getting errors while it was copying files so i though the disk was bad so i got windows vista unlimate and i keep getting blue screens while installing it

I have been having ram/mobo issues off and on where the pc won't post inless i only have 1 stick of ram in the mobos a1 slot sometimes i have to bend the ram some to get it to turn on? Also sometimes it will post with 2-3 sticks in but the dual channel will not work

When installing vista i can get to a mem test screen and the tests loops over and over inless i put it on the adv test mode then it locks up at 21%

Sounds like it's time to replace the RAM or the mobo.

you could try playing around with the timings.
but if the mem test is locking up at only 21%, then something is obviously wrong.
test each stick individually, and then against something else

Cant test the ram in a different pc to confirm? 4x1gb you could get 2x2GB instead.

Yes i have tried that driver and it still did not work. I'm about to go back to my house and try more drivers now blank:

Any other idea's?

It seems like my onboard network card went bad even tho the lights still work on it. I'm using usb to connect my cable net right now and it works just kinda laggy playing shooter games :p
