The Simpsons are funny..... sometimes
When The Simpsons first aired there really wasn't anything like it. It was a very original show and those of you who discredit it for not being as funny as it was ten years ago need to remember it's been on the air a LONG time. You try to keep fresh material coming out every week for that long.
And yes, Family Guy pulls the same shit every episode. Peter does something stupid, they have a flash back and make a bunch of pop culture references, Peter somehow makes things right with whoever he wronged but in a completely rediculous way. Also, I never said I don't watch Family Guy. I actually went and bought Blue Harvest on DVD the day it came out and I used to watch the show whenever it came on. I think the show has quite a few moments where I laughed pretty hard, but they are few and far between.

^i know. there was this one episode which could've been so hilarious, mr griffin fought with this chicken, and it was so funney for like.. five min? but then it never ended! they kept it going for like a quarter, or that was how it felt like.

If the two were on at the same time and I didn't have anything better to do, I would probably watch Family Guy. I've seen every episode of Family Guy at least 2-3 times, some probably as many as 5 or 6. Some of the more recent stuff hasn't stuck as well as the Season 4 or Season 5 stuff, but I think Seth still has it in him.
And really, when it comes to comedy, even cartoons, a lot of the stuff has been done before. At this point it's just about repackaging it to make it funny again.
I also like American Dad. I like how AD and FG display slightly different methods of making jokes, where AD is more situational and FG is more random and off-track.
South Park is good, but it depends a lot on the episode. The one where Cartman acted like he had tourettes was an episode that I couldn't even finish, and I am by no means a prude when it comes to obscenities. It just got old really fast and I figured it wasn't worth the time. But other episodes are ****in hilarious.

They don't make new episodes of Futurama, which is funnier than The Simpsons and Family Guy combined. They are, however, making new straight to DVD movies still.

i guess i am in tasteless humor because i think family guy is hilarious.
As everyone i like old school simpsons but the new i quite watching due to they were not as funny as the older ones.
South Park is still funny but i feel they are also not as funny as the older ones. Seems like there are running out of funny episodes. But then again i dont watch it as much.

That WoW South Park episode actually increased the WoW playerbase by a lot believe it or not.
I love futurama as well, but the movies are so crappy. Only TV show I still watch everytime it's on is Scrubs. New (And last) Season now.
