Most Volkswagens have Diesel engines, and suffer from turbo lag. Once their turbos kick in they still don't run much boost so it's like a Honda's Vtec in a sense...

never seen a polo. But just by what u said, it sounds like its a low performance car. Theres this new car that an indian automaker came out with. Its called the Tata Nano. Very efficient....34hp.

If you cared about the power of a care you wouldn't be looking for a car with high mpg. I'd take a car with 80 mpg even if the pickup on it was awful. Who cares you save shittons on gas.

I love the feeling of accelerating at like 1g. I got to sit on the passenger side of an M5 once. One of the greatest experiences i've ever had. It just pushes you straight back.

Course lots of people love high performance cars, it's an awesome feeling. None of these cars get good mpg.
