We’re in the process of working on Diablo II content patch 1.13, and we want to try to include the Diablo community’s most important changes in our production schedule. To achieve this we’re asking for your input on what you’d like to see in this patch. However, we’re making it a bit stricter than a full-blown wish list.
If you were to get an advance look at the patch notes for Diablo II 1.13, what is the one patch note you would want to see?
Our goal is to get an overall sense of the single most important request from every member of the community. We want as many posts as we can get for the largest cross section, so if you have friends who used to play Diablo II or just don’t frequent the forums as much as you do, let them know this is here so we can get their “#1 patch note” too.
Please be mindful that we’re not going to be able to make every change mentioned, but hopefully with your feedback we can prioritize and do our best to cover as much as possible.
This thread is locked on purpose. To participate in this feedback collection please visit the main thread here – Battle.net - English Forums -> Diablo II 1.13 – Tell Us Your #1 Patch Note

I don't know if it had been mentioned on the forums here, but I'm necro reviving this to point out something I saw over at Blizz's forums, posted in May:
Bashiok Wrote:It's coming along. We're still in the process of refining and testing the changes going into the patch. Work is progressing, we haven't stopped working on it or anything like that.
As far as information of what's being changed in the patch, almost anything we're working on now could be removed. Testing could deem any change unworkable and we'd have to remove it. By releasing any information on possible changes we'd be raising expectations that the change is guaranteed to make it in, no matter how many disclaimers we place on it. That said, one change we're planning is to increase the stash size to 12x10. As I said it is in no way a guaranteed change. Any number of reasons could mean it will not make it into the final patch. But enjoy the breadcrumb maybe?
So, are there any peeps planning on coming back whenever 1.13 does arrive? I would say that there'd be a slight resurgence from mod players if 1.13 ends up making may of the popular ones (ie Median XL) unplayable, but if that is the case, most won't even update to the latest patch.
Pending the changes, I think I may be playing on B.net some again. I have been playing a little bit lately, but that is just to remind me of the vanilla CLoD gameplay. I'm sure whatever changes they make won't be big enough to be game-changing - it seems they probably just want to make players happy enough to keep playing Diablo 2 for a couple more years before the third rolls around.

Hmm, figured I'd let you know this, since I saw it somewhere. Who knows how they'll implement it - whether it'll be a recipe, spending a certain # of gold somewhere, or if they just go crazy and make it free. Also no idea how many times they'll let us do it. We'll have to wait and see how they release it.

When will the ladder reset again? i have been out of d2 for so long now That is correct, and was assumed anyways. However, don't think of it as waiting to reset for patch; think of it as them waiting to release the patch to reset the ladder (since they could reset anytime with a simple flick of the wrist, but they must wait until they complete and finish testing the patch on the beta server).
We don't have any release dates given, as they don't want to be forced to finish by that date.

Anyone have any recent news on this? Been looking around but can't find any recent information on it, thinking of coming back to D2, but was going to wait for the new patch.
Thanks FrogMan for the Sig!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it won't happen til '10 because of the fact they're lazy and the Warcraft thing.
And by lazy I mean they want to make sure its picture perfect...
