exactly what the title says. where is this forum going ? mostly the people that posted and kept the forum active are all gone. now what there is like 10 people that still post here plus the newcomers that come to ask one question about a mod or hack that has not been able to be used since 05' ?
what happened to spit? the main admin. we need a new one, seriously. this place has gone to shit.

well, it is true that growth and topic ideas will be stagnant right now.
but many people are just waiting for D3. then this site will pick up again

In the meanwhile (aka 2+ years) it will allow those few who do come to bond closer as a community, so that once D3 is released we will laugh and jeer at the newcomers in jestful frivolity.

i doubt it, there are much more diablo related sites like this that are still up, running, and popular now. for example, ladderhall, jayofteror, new d2 event, etc. when d3 does get release, those are the sites that are really going to shoot up in population.
another thing that helps is that those sites have active administrators.

Who knows where Spit and Skye went. They both need to come back. But what do you expect, half of the members that where active just ***** and moaned because the site activity went down so they all left. All it takes is to reply or post, not that difficult. Your online post something worth reading or sharing.

This forum is going nowhere right now because it's been everywhere already. Give it some time and for the economy pressure to let up, and people will start pouring in again.

Spit and Skye are both very busy and have asked for a New Admin.I vouched for Nex and so did Jedi.
If they made ME one I would try hard...and most likely stare at the Admin screen and say "wtf".....

I would actually like to see Jedi as an admin, he's been here a very long time, and he's a level headed guy. Nex is still fairly new I think. If anyone deserves it then it's someone that has seniority and has been here longer. Not to mention that I haven't even seen Nex around in a while.

i haven't seen nex around and active a lot either, but i dont blame him, he was mod of the graphics and art forum and that went nowhere, now he is super mod and there is nothing to mod.
jedi stops by ever once and a while, i think since he has been around from the start, he should get the job.
both of them can do it and would do a good job, but the question is; do they want to?
they would need to put money into it also for new updates to the forum.
it already has been a while to give the forum time to build back up, it started going down a while ago, and it just got worse.

everyone says they are capabale. I actually believe them. It doesn't seem that hard at all. Its more like a part-part time job. But as for blizz being dead. It is. But itill definitly change eventually.

the ONLY reason I left is because back when I did post, I stayed in trouble. my posting was PG-13 most of the time, a very mild R at worst. every mod was a spam cop so fun posts were against the rules and diablo 2 is a dead, beaten horse. we can only talk about so many G-rated topics and which character is best for MFing so many times until it just becomes boring, repetitive, and lame. i have no idea how this place is ran now but a year or two ago it was super, super lame.

Not everybody can be an admin, or a mod. Look at all of the Jackass mods we have had over the years. D3 really is needed to revitalize the forums. One can only pour over so many "Pictures of Me" posts or Jokes threads before it gets old. The forums has a great community, but it IS still centered around a game that hasn't seen a new title in almost a decade.

As for the whole admin shpiel, I would personally refuse the positon (no offense of course). I'm a support individual, not a leader. I'd rather be there to help those in charge than to be the head honcho myself.
We'll have to see how much new content 1.13 provides - perhaps it'll at least be a small catalyst to get the core purpose of this forum going for a little while at least, until it fizzles out. At that point, we'll just have to roll with it and see what we can do to continue sparking communication amongst members.
Maybe we just need Kevin Costner around. If we built it, maybe he'll come.

Nex has been around since very early. So theres no problem in that. I would like him to be admin, Jedi too, but he just refused. I would have Pam be admin, but she doesn't know what the **** she's doing most of time, no offense.
But we really don't have anyone to be admin, cause Nex is never around.

If the community stays just Diablo oriented, then this is the way things will be till D3 comes out, I mean honestly there is nothing to post about because Diablo 2 is old news. So don't blame admins or mods, we just gota be sure that when Diablo 3 does come out, we get on the ball and update the site for it.

exactly what the main theme of why things well get back. To tell you the truth. D2 is honoustly a terribly made game. It was extremely addicting but was never properly thought out as much as starcraft was.
