Nah, if the active people stayed here, and kept on playing D2, and as shit changed, we changed with it, we would still be the best.
We would of need admins for that. To code things that wasnt there. Or give us a FG system way back and never had points. Posting for shit is lame. I could see helping the community and donating to get points, which would start us off. Maybe 1 point every 5 posts if we did. But anything to have kept that system before d2jsp got too big.
But if it helps, I went to some other sites, and the top posters only had like 300+ posts. I mean, we still have members getting high into the hundreds if not thousands.

That's why they're making D3. It'll have more of an end game, hopefully. D2 is still fun for me.
We won't go anywhere until D3 comes out, but it will take members recruiting people in D3 to get membership up, and us making sure we stay on top of the news and hacks and such to be a major contender for D3 information. diii.net is miles ahead, but they're 100% legit stuff... So that'll be something for us.

Cause Im sure there are lots of people that look at that, and come here thinking we're the shit, maybe some, but they are one day posters.
We need to get the word out, that we're the shit.

Well it wont help much yet, but I do have a suggestion; a wiki to organize Diablo 3 info. or it could be done even now.
I find it convenient whenever I play a game to have a goto wiki that has everything.

I see Spit posting at least once a week lately. Just because he's not spamming his own boards doesn't mean he's not around, but yes, it would help moral if he were more active in the community.

no you havent because he hasnt posted since the 5th of June.
what you have been seeing is probably his bot that he has set up to greet someone every time a new thread is posted in the introductions forum.

Just to let you guys know one thing, i am online everyday and very active. I just barely ever post due to there being nothing i could really contribute to the forum or that i even find interesting.
Pretty much all i do here is Mod.
Another few things, Zero i have been here for just as long as you have.
I have never had any experience as a Admin and can honestly say i wouldn't have a clue what to do.
Also i wouldn't be putting any money into it.

Froggy got demoted because Spit thought he didn't do anything.
Dumb ass decision on his part. Doing what Spit did probably reduced the members by half.

A lot of people got demoted...and it was because there just wasn't a need for that many staff members on a board with a handful of members.

I don't think it matters how much Spit posts or stuff like that. Because the topic of this thread refers to the forums, not the actual site, I don't think forums really even need much of an adminship to keep a keen eye every second. Forums are a place where it's the members that build up the community conversation, not the staff.
Luke already built up the forum, now the logical thing would be for them to come...right? Without discussion from members here, new members are less likely to see those nonexistant forum threads while searching Google for "mad hax" or "giev free sojs plox".
Luke adding things like social groups, albums, etc has never seemed to help the forum "go anywhere." Thus, I find it is not the fault of the admins, but rather the members general disinterest (at the current time). Not even giving out Blizz keys in sig contests really helped to make us "go anywhere."
Every forum is likely to have its downtime. This is not the first time a thread like this has been made to ponder the (lack) of activity in the forum. In this period where people may not be dashing around for our downloads, or may be on vacation, we're just in a lull. I'm sure random events that transpire on random days will help to achieve spikes in the forum activity.

Not everyone is a gfx god, so I found those things way unfair.

Ok, turn off your selective reading for this post:
I've talked to Spit via pm's at least twice recently. He's around, he's just not posting. It's not a big deal; it certainly never was when the boards were active. Just because he's the owner, doesn't mean it's his fault the boards are taking a hit, or that people had to get demoted. Shit happens; shrug if off and move on. If you don't want to stay here, that's up to you; there are a lot of people that do. A lot of people have also taken breaks from BZS, and that's fine. But don't start ranting about how the site is going to die, and it's going nowhere just because it's taking a hit. It's not uncommon, even for popular sites.
These days, a lot of people just sign up to sites for resources. How many gfx artists are actually part of the community of the render site the frequent, rather than just log in for gallery access? -Raises hand-

I have been with Luke since the site started...I will CONTINUE to be here...always.
Since 2002 this happens every year yall.
My join date says 2003,but only because Luke made a new site.
Is patience lost to the world now?
I was an Admin briefly(thank you God) But I am willing to try it again if that is what it takes...only other option is Nex gets promoted,......
Or I hunt Froggy down and drag him back
