Long Term Absence
#1
Well here is is the story;
We finally moved to Hamilton last Saturday. (During a rain storm. [Image: dry.gif] )

Well we get everything in and decide the best place for placing the things that we will not need ASAP is in the basement.
So pretty much EVERYTHING of min is placed down there. Big screen TV, PS3, all entertainment systems and wires, files etc all down there.

Yesterday it rained...it did not seem very bad at all in fact it seemed way better then Saturday.
Anyways, while setting up my phone, I noticed that I needed a longer phone cord, so I headed to the basement. . .
The whole basement was flooded with at least FIVE inches of water.
The floor was peeling off, the boxes are all soaked, almost everything was ruined.
A lot of the stuff the was ruined was irreplaceable, like keepsakes, paperwork, heirlooms, antiques, data on Hard Drives.
Luckily we have content insurance, but now I will have to put a hold on doing anything and go out and buy new stuff.

I'll tell you, I was so angry, that I was crying...I had a little mental breakdown at my house. (I am at my sister's place...also flooded.)

All of Hamilton was flooded, so for a while I will not be on.

Awesome, yesterday we lost power in our place [Image: dry.gif] so it was flooded, and had no power for lights to do anything about it...thank god my sister lives RIGHT around the corner, and has power.

Oh yeah and we have not had a phone or internet since we got here. (We were supposed to have it connected the day we moved in.) We also got screwed on the modem.

So now we had to switch companies cause it would take over 7 days if we stayed with the other company. (I am at my sister's [Also Flooded] stealing someone's WAN)

Just found out that our insurance will not cover it...so now I have nothing. If I was not already poverty, then I would be now.
