Thailand drops North Korea weapons charges - CNN.com
Taliban fighters training in Iran, U.S. officials say - CNN.com
If you put both of those stories together, it sounds a lot like North Korea is supplying insugents in the Middle East with a crap ton of weapony. 35 tons of small arms and rpgs....70,000 lbs. Lets assume, for instance, that 25,000 lbs of that load were AK-47s(he did say Kalishnikovs), 15,000 lbs were RPGs, and the rest is ammo and other crap. AK-47s weigh 9.5 lbs. That's 2,361 guns. That's 2,361 more people armed. RPG-7's weigh 15 lbs, so that equates to 1,000 rocket launchers. That's a lot of weaponry...headed to Iran, were I believe I read that US intelligence stated 80% of the insurgency gets it's weapons.
On top of that...

China seems to be doing its part, also. The two countries(NK and China) have two things in common. First is that they're both communist. Second is that we fought them both in the Korean War.
I don't know. It's all interesting to me.
Here's the stats though that I was talking about...(found on wikipedia)
China: 3 million active and reserve troops. 4 million paramilitary.
Iran: 1 million active and reserve troops. 11 million paramilitary.
North Korea: 5.8 million active and reserve troops. 200,000 paramilitary.
United States: 3 million active and reserve troops. 450,000 paramilitary.
Scary numbers.
Combine that with the fact that the first three hate the last one, and that China is trying to be close to on par with the US in the air and in the sea by 2020... well, you see the picture.
If you put the numbers of every ally of the US and every other country that would probably give a damn in the unlikely event that a conflict broke out against those that would probably be against us... I believe we're severely outnumbered. Not that any of us would survive the nuclear holocaust anyway. xD
