Dude, I totally celebrated with several cans of coke...Coke that is. Street names include soda, pop, soft drink and tonic. I also attempted to include "dude" or "man" at the end of as many sentences as possible for good measure.
I saw G4 was basically replaying "Dazed and Confused" and "Half-Baked" over and over. Good stuff.
I do not personally do the types of drugs 4/20 would be celebrating. However, I really don't mind what others do just as long as it doesn't affect me. No (personal) harm, no foul. =)
The addiction for these drugs stems from our hedonistic desires. We start taking it because we want, and we'll continue to take it to maintain that high we get from using the drug (and sometimes in higher doses because that maintained high just isn't getting us where we want to be). It can sometimes have a deadly result, but that won't stop us from doing it.
An example of this is the fact that I basically need to have at least one soda a day to function. Sometimes it just isn't good enough, so I'll have two or more. I do it (at least one) because I want to maintain that caffeine high, and if it's not good enough I'll have more. At this point caffeine intake doesn't really do anything to me, but if I go cold turkey I might withdrawl and go sleepy-bye.

Mathalamus Wrote:those are medical drugs, and you cant get addicted to them. excluded.Umm, I do believe you can most certainly get addicted to Aspirin. Really, you can get addicted to anything with a belief that you must continue to take or use said drug for personal gain. Headache medication can be a drug. Soda can be a drug. Internet/TV/P0rn...all can be drugs.
