Unable to Run in Windows 7

After i installed But it unable to execute it?

anyone can help ?

I was having the simular issues , I had loaded d2 and the expansion pack and kept getting inst play disc followed by insert expansion disc etc errors.
I downloaded the patch 1.13 from blizzard and can now play it fine on windows 7.

For anyone having issues running Diablo II: Lord of Destruction under Windows 7 or Windows Vista.
You can try the following steps to get it working.

Right click on the Diablo II LOD Shortcut on your desktop and select "Properties".

Then click on the [Compatibility] Tab and under Privilege Level make sure that "Run this program as an administrator is checked."
It also wouldn't hurt to set the Compatibility Mode by checking the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
And setting it to "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)"



Also check that Under the [Security] Tab your user account has full permissions.

Tip:
As of 1.12 Blizzard now allows users to play without expansion disc in the optical drive, but you must first install the latest official patch for the Diablo II Expansion. (Currently 1.13)

After upgrading using the official patch, insert your Diablo II Expansion CD into drive, from the support folder, copy the "D2XMUSIC.MPQ" file to the Diablo II folder in your hard drive. After that, launch Diablo II LOD and enjoy the game without the disc and without using dangerous tools like d2loader which can get you banned.
