D2NT31 wins7 problem

On my windows 7 i always have to run diablo 2 as admin or it will "fail to find my version info" meaning it wont detect my patch. Easy fix, set it to always run as admin. But for some reason after i set up bot files for my pally and try to run it, im getting the error again because it cannot detect my patch. Different fix needed for bot to avoid this? Any help appreciated.
