Need Help on HC Hammer Pally

Well I have been doing some digging on my problem, and trying to find a decent answer but no luck.

Here is my Setup when I am doing Baal runs.

Perf Coa Ber Ber
+39 Hoto
+27 Mara
Upped 198% Ber Hoz
1377 AP Enigma
Upped Magefist
Upped Spurs
Raven Frost
Dwarf Star
198% tgods

Switch:
+5 Bo Cta/ Pally Spirt its +44 rest but dont think it matters

Inv:
3x +15 Rest GC
1x P Toruch
1x Anni
4x P Combate

My Skillz @ level 93 almost 94
Max Hammer
Max Holy Shield
Max Concertration
Max Blessed Aim
Rest into Vagor



Problem: Fana + Amped + Dolls
Note: No problem when conv since i have stacked Rest lowest is Posion at 40 with everything else 90/75/80 < I think so, have not put baal gear on in a min.

If I remove the pally combat charms, i can add 20 life sc's. Witch i have about 18-20 of them witch would get me to about 3.5K life at my 3K now, witch I think is good since im running with spurs and not waterwalks. But have though about switching just for HP with the +5%.


This Pally as of right now, Can rush 7x players in Hell and not die. Trust me I have done this and OMG level 2 Viper Temple! is Crazy Dudes had Fana right at door! I took 3x 40% hits that drop my HP and had to ***. < lol Cant use the word P0t, i mean Postions


My Goal: To Beable to run hell Baal runs and not die!.

keep Max DR is a Must for the 50/50 dmg from Dolls " fire/phys". Even Though about resocketing CoA, and taking on Stormshield.

Like i said up top, This is Hardcore and i do not wanna die. Just need some second Thoughts..... Thanks

First off I would say go with the waterwalks over the spurs,5% max fire resist and life would help you more.Second thing I would say to do is to repec and don't max holyshield (Hammerdins don't really need the excessive defense,as we kill before things get into melee range.Instead put points into Resist fire for the max resist synergy.With the Waterwalks and the extra max resist from resist fire,plus max damage reduction,you should be able to survive in hell baal.One other thing you may have to do is substitute a wisp projector ring(more lightning absorb) for the ravenfrost.Being frozen does not slow down casting of spells like hammers and teleporting.

I did read your post,and I think I may have misunderstood you,lol.You asked for some other thoughts on the subject,I think so anyway.My opinion is to not resocket the COA,because you need the dr too much.If you want to live against the dolls corpse explosion,you must have have max DR and max fire resist its that simple.And I may play softcore but my hammer bot doesn't ever die in full Throne games, and he is set up with Tgods,wisp projector,90 % max fire resist(through the resist fire skill synergy) .Ive been playing Diablo 2 LOD since 1.09,so I do know what I'm Talkin about.
And furthermore Defense only mitigates physical attacks,not magical,and Ive never seen a hell monster with enuff cold damage to seriously hurt a hammerdin,whereas lightning damage in a full throne game is a different story.
And you did say your problem was Fanat/amped/dolls.Defense wont mitigate hardly anything when your amped.Also are you using a Holyfreeze merc,because in my experience that really helps out against the dolls.I can see your point about using max holyshield for defense, but I just dont see the point in it for general survivability,as max block seems to work well for me (my opinion) and defense only helps with physical attacks,it doesn't help against corpse explosion or any other kind of casted attack that carries physical damage,ie Druids tornado(I know its not applicable here,just a point of reference).
I think life and fire absorb/max resist are the only things that will help you survive the dolls,alas as you said I do play Softcore,but you did ask for help,and I offered mine.One thing you could do is try editing a hammerdin on single player and try him at the / players8 setting,then you could figure out what would work and what is crap.I believe individual play styles have alot to do with it as well.
