How To: Keep the Horadic Staff and Still Get the Quest.

So this isn't really anything special, just something I found out while playing one day.

I like the Staff of Kings, and Amulet of the Viper (Which form the Horadic Staff) because they have no level requirements. Meaning I can use them right away when starting a new character, or just make my mules look a little more well dressed.

So I was a little sad when I was in a game partied with a few other players and someone used their Horadic Staff to open the gateway to Tal Rasha's Burial Chamber and mine disappeared!

The Solution?
Allow your character to die before someone places the Horadric Staff within the orifice , then don't pick up your characters body until after the quest is completed and you've joined a new game.

Hopefully someone appreciates this and finds it useful.

Interesting idea, I've wondered why they had to make the items for the quests so tempting to keep for lower chars but then make you lose them when you complete the quest. I'll have to try this solution out some time and see how well it works (YAY for mule chars!)

You can also put them on a mule before you do the quest.Then join a game where someone else is doing the quest.

Another way is to unparty right before someone opens the portal, and once they do, party back up. You'll still have it and you can still complete the quest.
