I know this type of built is Ancient to most of you and regrettably d2s end is at near as we are coming to the new age and making way for D3. I am however will be making my last built, A built that I beleived dominated last few patches which is the PVP SMITER.
Now I have not made this type of built so please kindly Help me make this as GODLY AS POSSIBLE!
From Armor to weapons and Charms to Attributes.
So Far I have collected 20-20-x Anni and 20-20 Ptorch!
Ammy can be Mara but since it only has +5 Attributes I can get a rare with +2 +15Str +15Dex+ all Res
Ok, now we need to get the rest!
Which other GODLY ITEMS are needed or a MUST and why?

1818 exile? Bul Kathos ring maybe, unless you need more on a.r. so you would get a rare ring.

Smiters don't need AR,lol smite almost always (95%) hits target unless assassins weaponblock can deflect it.
Anyway godly gear needed
Helm:Crown of Ages Has FHR,Damage Reduction,Resistances,and 2 open sockets
Socketed in Helm(Ber, Cham, Jah, Shael, Um, depends on your overall needs
Armor: Enigma Archon Plate Has massive FRW(for desynching) , Teleport, and massive Str bonus
Weapon:Grief Berzerker Axe has best range of any 1 hand weapon ,hits smite IAS breakpoint(when
Using Fanaticism) And has the best smite damage modifier in the game
Shield:If you are duelling good mannered use upped HoZ,if you don't care use ebugged Exile

Armor = AP Nigma
Weapon = Grief Zerk
Shield = Upped Hoz

ok to finish up the list
belt: 15 % DR Verdungos Hearty cord,with this and 2 bers in coh and the ber in enigma you will hit 50% Damage Reduction cap
gloves : Bad Mannered: Draculs grasp(Lifetap) Good Mannered : Crafted crushing blow gloves with life
and resistances
boots : Upped Gore riders (crushing blow open wounds frw) or eth sandstorm treks (str, life,defense, poison
resist
rings : FCR ring with str and resistances and a raven frost for CBF
Amulet : 20% FCR amulet with Paly skills or pally combat skills and other mods like str,dex,resistances ect
Inventory : torch,anni 20/5 life resistance charms,enuff 5% fhr charms to hit 86% fhr breakpoint
Stash : wisp ring for lite sorb tgods belt,another ravenfrost,dwarf star rings,and dont foget cta and pally spirit on switch

[/COLOR]with all the top gear ! Is he able to kill 6 uber bosses ? uber killing is a bit different than pvp,for ubers use dracs gloves and ebugged or just eth exile and grief phaseblade along with the other gear.
as far as skills go max smite, holyshield, fanaticism, defiance(as holyshield synergy),put 1 point into each of these salvation, meditation, vigor , charge, holy freeze, Zeal(for physical immunes while building the smiter,the venom proc on grief works surprisingly well with zeal) and 1 point into salvation, split the rest of the points into resist aura of your choice(for the hard point bonus)

this thread seems a bit old but i have just recently started converting my uber smiter to pvp zeal/smiter. i was never all that good with pvp but i decided after i started botting i may as well get into it. so i distributed skills to include res auras (which probably wont find much use) maxed smite (except hs which is going to be maxed soon) maxed everything that will help zeal and fan ofc. not im using most of what you listed above except enig cause i charge heavy against the runners. most drop with just 1 hit from it anyway (gatta love those glass cannons) but some seem to have a bit of resilience (in which i just pop a smite on em and they die anyway). i have lots of gear changes in my stash so i can change for different occasions but i havnt been dueling any other melee classes yet, can't really find too many pvp games for that matter either. now i can get around 12k ar (depending on the gear i change to) plus i have a greif on standby as well as a death, metalgrid, rare ar rings and rfs for changing, aside from using the angelic combo, and alma what would be another good way to get a ar stack without giving up too much of my other hard bp caps? i do have some ar scs but i want to start getting some all res lifers to make up for taking my hoz off for alma (for def stacks) or exile(when i find a bm pker). my life kinda lacks because i made sure to add enough str to meet what i need for all gear regardless of how i put my gear one and dex for mb the same way. i have just over 2k life with bo ofc (and yes i have 6bo cta) so some life scs are vital atm.
there has to be someone here who can teach my noob @$$ how to run a proper zeal/smite din with options.
