Question on Farming White - Socketable

Hi guys....
So i have a Lite Sorc wif onlly 25 MF (Griff, Eschuta, COH, Spider, Monarch Spirit, SOJ/Str res all ring/ Maras, Trek and Magefist....for invent I only have vita SCs, 2 x Lite skill, anni and torch)

while I also have a hdin tht has over 400MF

My major use of Lite sorc is to find white socketables (running mainly in pit/diablo/baal)

while Hdin obviously on unique.

Been running for almost 2 months now, my sorc has found NO white socketable (most of my scripts for white is non-sup to increase pick up chances)

I also know about the diminishing return rule on MF...so my question is

should I put more MF back on my Sorc? Say 150-200 MF?

or is there something wrong wif my build that I needed to change?

While I haven't been playing D2 all that much as of late, I would think that adding MF should, by definition, decrease the chances of finding white socketables. After all, magic find makes the chances of the stuff that is dropping to be of a higher quality (magic/rare/set/unique/etc). Thus, less MF should make the chance to find whites greater (and I guess just have to be lucky for it to be socketed, unless you go with any recipes/A5 metalsmith to socket it). You'd want to go with a build that lets you kill things as quickly as possible, I guess.

my average run on Sorc is like 30 mins cuz I went from pindle/nith/shrenk/andy/count/pit/cow/summoner/merph/chaos/baal

I would try running pit/chaos/baal that should cut your run time in half.

Maybe even add cows to the list since u want the best chance to find white-socketed items.
