Signature Cut Out's Tutorial

1.Start a new project (for this tutorial i used 420x120) make background transparent

2.Make your design/finshed product or drag your previous design/finshed product onto the transparent background

3.Right click the "Lasso" tool and select the "Polygonal Lasso Tool"

4.While holding your "shift key" (holding shift make straight lines) make your design that you want cut-out

5.Prees "backspace" to clear the selected section then "ctrl+D" to deselect

6.add images and text (if you haven't already)

7.save image as a .gif make sure to check the transparent box

Mud's Animated Rain/Snow Tutorial
This tutorial will teach you how to add some nice animated rain or snow to an image.Enjoy!

1.Open the image of your choice

2.Make a new layer

3.On the new layer go to Edit > Fill and choose black

4.Filter > Noise > Add Noise use the settings below

5.Filter > Blur > Motion Blur use the settings below

6.change the blending mode to "Screen"

7.Hit "Ctrl+L" use settings below

8.Repeat steps 2-7 three more times

9.Make your layers look like this before going to image ready to animate the rain

-also you may want to crop the image and get rid of the edge, but for the tutorial i didn't

10.Now that you in image ready duplicate the 1st frame 3 times

11.Now with the 1st frame highlighted make the layer pallete look like this

12.Select frame 2 and make layers pallete look like this

13.Select 3rd frame and make layers pallete like this

14.Select 4th frame and make layers pallete like this

15.Press "play" on the animation pallete and thats it(you may want to add a delay to each frame to control the speed)

playing with the settings on steps 4 and 5 produce different styles of rain/snow
-to Save go to File > save optimized as

Fading Opacity Bar

1.Open image of your choice

2.Make a new layer

3.Grab the rectangle marquee tool
[Image: marqueetool.jpg]

4.Make a selection like similar to this one

5.Grab the gradient tool
[Image: gradienttool.jpg]

6.Change the gradient
[Image: changegradient.jpg]

6.Select the gradient below, and change the color to whatever color you wish

8.Start in the middle of the selection you made and while holding your "shift" key drag the line all the way to the right

9.Change the opacity, for this tutorial i used 60%

10.Ctrl+D to deselect, and your done

Add sosme text to fit within the bar and should end up something like this

Simple Animated Glowing Text

1.Open new document, for this tutorial i used 420x120

2.Fill the document with black

3.Add the desired text

4.Right click the text layer and select blending options

5.select outer glow and use the settings below

6. Now take the document to image ready

7.Make 2 frames
[Image: newframe.jpg]

with the first frame selected make the layers pallete look like so

8.On the second frame
[Image: frame3.jpg]

9.On the animation pallete hit tween
[Image: tween.jpg]

10.use these settings
[Image: tweenset1.jpg]

11.Hit tween again and use these settings
[Image: tweenset2.jpg]

12.File > Save Optimized As and make sure you save it as a .gif

13.Press play and add a delay if you wish

Signature Border

1.Start with a new document any size (for this tutorial i use 420x120) transparent background

2.Fill it with white

3.Grab you polygonal lasso tool

4.Cut out the areas you do not want

5.Next select your magic wand tool

and select the white area
[Image: wandselect.jpg]

6.Go to edit > fill and choose or color what ever you wish (for the tutorial i used a pattern)

7.Right click the layer and select blending options and use the settings below

8.Now add your image
[Image: addimage.jpg]

9.Next in the layers pallete drag the border layer above the image layer
[Image: layerup.jpg]

should look like this

10.Add some text and your done

he uses adobe photoshop. i think photoshop 7 is pretty much the same as photoshop 8, so if u have anything from about photshop 6-8, the tutorials should be able to work.

try http://www.1001freefonts.com/ they got pretty cool fonts there.
