Dragonball Z: Legacy of Goku for GBA wasn't much of a good game. It was kind of boring. The combat was boring as well (Punch, energy blast, repeat.) The game was a disappointment to me, a DBZ fan. It was ridiculous that I had to find Roshi's mags in the beginning, o_O. In it's sequel, DBZ: Legacy of Goku 2, many improvements were made.... So let's get on with the review!
------------
Graphics
------------
Graphics haven't changed much with exception of the energy blasts and the level graphics. This isn't bad, though. I like the graphics. They are very cool-looking. The characters seem to be midgets, though. Oh well... at least they're not stick figures.
------------
Presentation
------------
The presentation was great. The title screen, menus, and the save point up the presentation a bit. But, those darn logos at the beginning should be able to be skipped, though. Oh well... nothing big. The cutscenes are also pretty cool, too. The story follows the series perfectly, as well.
------------
Gameplay
------------
The gameplay is a large improvement over the first game. You can now run. =J The combat seems different somehow. Maybe because it's a bit better than the original one from the first game. You can now fly to locations as well! The scouter is in the game to give you info on people and enemies you encounter. There are also many tasks to complete before you progress through the game. Although, it's seems a little too easy to train your characters...
------------
Music and Sounds
------------
The best thing in the whole game! At the title screen, you hear a very good version of the DBZ theme song. Unlike on the first LoG. The music also resembles the music from the tv series during boss battles. The sounds resemble the actions perfectly. The music is awesome and the sounds are great. If game music's your bag, check out this game.
------------
Lastability
------------
I wouldn't know, XD. I'm still playing. I'm to where you first become Vegita. It's seems long, though. And, the training will keeps you playing for a while. And, the boss battles are something to look forward to.
------------
Overall
------------
Overall, this game is nearly perfect. I love the music and the combat. I also like the story. It stays true to the television series which is very good. And, the tasks are fun to beat as well. I enjoy playing it and I'm still playing it. I will continue playing it until LoG3 with the Buu saga and the Bebi saga! Well, until then: *goes to play LoG2* SP signing out! This game gets a 9/10!
