Deadly strike ????

Has deadly strike the same effect as critical strike? I mean , i know both does 2x damage but i want to know per example if i have 70% critical strike and 30% deadly strike i´ll have a chance of 100% to do 2x damage or i´ll have a chance to do 4x damage.

as far as i know deadly strike mixed with critical wont do 4x if it goes over

no problem, i doubt that it really matters cause only 2 characters could really combine deadly strike and critical.

i think it's a process of getting 2 chances to get double damage.. but i don't think it compounds... like, if you fail your 30% critical, it'll check you're 70% deadly, but if you succeed w/ur initial hit and do 2x dmg w/crit, i don't think it'll do another check for deadly, that's just my limited understanding however, so don't be suprised if i stand corrected by sum1 more inept to the inner workings of d2...

ur correct Vv, first it checks the 70% critical hit, if it fails, then it checks the 30% deadly, but if critical succeds then it wont check for the deadly

Deadly Strike
This is a chance of doing double damage. This bonus is applied after skills such as Critical Strike and any other damage bonuses. Critical Strike (CS) and Deadly Strike (DS) exclude each other.



If you have a 33% Deadly Strike item, and 68% Critical Strike Skill the complete chance to get double damage is:[indent]=CS + (DS/100)*(100-CS)

=68% + (33/100)*32%
=68% + 10.56%
=78.56%

that sucks that if you got 103% deadly and critical combined its like only 78% after all
