Would a ATI Radeon 9800 RUN....
#21
without a doubt
it will run, and im almost sure you'll be able to max out all the settings too..

thing is, if you buy a really powerful card.. and your computer isnt up to par with it.. all that will happen is you wont get the potential FPS that you could.. just that simple..

but with 2gigz,, shouldnt be a problem running some of the current games...

best way to know is, if the recommended specs are below your system, it will run like a dream, if its right on the reccomended.. it will run as smooth as ice.. if its over. say hello to some sweet FPSSmile

ATI 80% of the time makes faster cards that nvidia.

also 80% better chance of having driver conflicts.. which Ati is renowned with.

*sighs* if i would have the money.. or i wasnt living in canada where prices for things are so F***ing expensive...(hell, the athlon fx-51 is over a 1000$)

i guess we can look at it this way about the two cards... nvidia - stable, supported ati - brute speed.. crashy

i was looking at one system they had. 3000$ american.. so hmm, about 6000$ canadian on a good dayTongue

i will never -ever- buy a brand name computer, no matter how advance or how great they are.. just something i aint willing to do for some reason. i love the thrill of building my own.
