Some help needed concerning LOD new patch

Ok, so i tried to re-install the diablo 2:LOD, and i've been sucsessful. when the patch came to downloading, it finished it, quit diablo2:LOD and then just stayed there. is there anyway to fix this, ive restarted computer, reinmstalled and i need to know how to fix this. anyone have any way, that i will load patch and d2 will restart and i will be able to finnaly play
