yeh windwaker was an AWESOME game; i played it and beat in in about 30 hours or so over a 3 day period. u can also try out Metroid Prime if u want cause that game is also awesome; and then soon enough Metroid Prime 2: Echoes will come out mayb in the fall or so w00t so u can keep an eye out for that. there is also another new Legend of Zelda game coming out (tentative title as of now) mayb in a year or so for gamecube.

Doom 3 is series of dark hallways with very predictable encounters. "Oh there's ammo in the only well lit area of the hall...I think I'll pick it up!" *picks up ammo foolishly* "Oh no tons of monters causing me to waist said ammo!" The flash light has never really been required to beat a game...until Doom 3. It's a waist of money in my opinion. Anyway Half-Life 2 comes out in November, supposedly, so I'm gonna use that quench that FPS thirst.

Zelda: Windwaker, why cell shading? Link should not be depicted as some gay looking cartoon, it's a crime I tell you!

FF X and FF X-2. I liked X it had a decent story with tons of mini games and special stuff. Also some of the character's had relationships to past FF characters which I liked (Riku = Yuffie v2.0). And of course Auron's sword being Masamune got my hopes up of an 8-foot long Katana, and I was disapointed. As for X-2 that one sucks, I like the battle system a little though. I like being able to change classes during battle. But they tried to add in sex appeal to it and I think that ruined a lot of it. It really is a girly girl game, and the story sucks because of it.

And lastly, SCF...how dare you promote console gaming on a pc game forum. BAD SCF!

Bungie will release a version for PC...just no clue when. Also Star Wars: Knights of the Old Repulbic 2 is coming out, supposedly the PC version will be released at the same time.

Consoles are pretty good for gaming, PC of course is still better for the fact that all console games must be developed on PC at some point..so how could they be better then PC games? I have FF XI for PS2 and it is by far the most amazing game I have ever played. GTA is a series worth looking at for someone who likes explosions and carnage. For those looking for a shooter to pass time, Socom or Halo should do you right. For the avid racing fan, Gran Turismo 3, Need for Speed Underground, Tokyo Xtreme racer zero and Tokyo Xtreme racer 3 are worth your money, I have yet to actually play Doom 3, so no comment on that yet. For the strategic shooter, Commandos 3 destination Berlin is the way to go, Just make sure you have a P4 3.00 GHZ or higher in your PC before you grab it. Even though they say 2.99GHZ recommended..I tried it on a 2.00 and it ran choppy and sluggish..get a 3.00 or higher. ESPN NFL 2k5 looks awesome..a must play for sports fans. GTA: San Andreas will be out in october, and will PWN the previous games in the series. Gran Turismo 4 will also be released this fall, and once again GT will PWN the racing genre for a few years to come. Need for Speed Underground 2 is set to hit stores this fall, and yes, more mod options are supposed to be included. Midnight Club 3 dub Edition is due out this fall, this promises much more in-depth game play than the previous 2, along with racing Hummers alongside a GTO?? Or a Cadillac Escalade vs. a Dodge Neon??? Who would have thought... The new expansion for FF XI is due out September 21st, named Chains of Promathia, it promises new areas, jobs, missions, and quests. Fall 2004 will be a hardcore gamers heaven if you have the money and time to keep up with everything. If you happen to just want a good game to play, look around this fall, won't take long to find one.

VIII was the best? Oh please god say you did not just say that. VIII was the worst! (Next to X-2 that is) Squall was a hero that I absolutely hated. VIII was one big love story, which I have no problem with but Squall was a guy I didn't want to get the girl. VII was the best because it was really one of the first times you had a tragic hero in a video game that you loved. Every step of the way you're lovin Cloud and enjoying the story. Of course Sephiroth is bad *** x10 so that helps as well.

And Splinter thanks for that huge *** review, felt like I was reading a magazine. And btw most of the games you mentioned that are reasons to get a console...are on PC as well. The only thing I think consoles are really better for are Fighting games, Street Fighter etc... Racing is just as good on PC, FPS are better on PC, and RPGs are way better on PC.

Hey I did say that consoles can NOT be better than PC, for the fact that they are all made on PC, and console games are just translated. I just reviewed all those games because those are the ones I am looking for right now. Sorry if it was too much to read lol. I must however argue that racing is better on console, namely PS2, for the racing game known as Gran Turismo 3, and the soon-to-be king of the racing world, Gran Turismo 4. Other than that I totally agree Spoon. BTW, JZXL, your video card and ram must blow mine out of the water then, because at full setting I was lagging. Commandos 3 ran pretty smooth with low settings tho. I still reccommend a P4 3.00 or higher if you can get it, because my neighbor has one and it makes the game so much better and smoother, and I don't care how smooth it is on yours, his is by far smoother.
