use caps and symbols.

Hey guys, I know I've never posted here but I do come here alot to read through everything and gain some understanding on how things work. Basicaly I was hacked today on USWest. My account has been emptied out, my shako, and my ammies are gone. The moron even came into the room I was playing, with one of my characters to tell me he had hacked the account.

I don't want to know how to hack him. As far as I'm concerned he/she is just a lazy **** that cant get the shit their selves. What I do want to know is how to stop this from happening again. I have Norton firewall and Norton Anti Virus installed. They didn't detect anything.

I don't understand why I was hacked either, I didn't **** anyone off and I keep to myself in the games. I just like the game.

First of all, it's a program. There's only two that I know of, they're called brute forcers. They require proxies to use and it just runs and keeps doing random comboes of letters and numbers like a, b, c, aa, ab, ac and shit. Second, to prevent, I suggest making your password longer than 8 characters, preferably 10. And hope to God that the person who is trying to brute you doesn't have DSL or Cable and a lot patience. If it's that long it should take around a day to crack your password and he might get bored.

password cracking software aint gonna work on d yo, well if u got like 3 weeks on ur hands lol. cuz its gonna try 5 times then it give u unable to coneect for like 10 mins same with bruteforce.

Anyone thats ever had experenice with either Brute Force, John the ripper, or RAR password would know how to get around it. If you want to learn do alittle research thats all i got to say.

For people hacking accounts on d2 is just lame.

It not hard yo go from nothing to godly in under 2 weeks if you got a good bot.

i was hacked 3 time in 1 week (THE SAME WEEK last week it was) i dont know why they do it but it was like a .dnd/. thing and it booted me and my pass was changed really weird so some smart computer geek did it i think.
