Makeing a Gothic signature made by someother girl(not me)


First make a new 400*100 document



1.Makeing a Background
Download some brushes off of here

1.A:Just download the mort brush , the illusionist then start brushign around a bit in dark colours
I used the 800 sized one on the topc from the illusionist set .
then used the cross one from mort brush set .
For those you are lost here is a background that you can just take a good part from

Just open it and press ctrl+a then ctrl+c then paste it onto your document

2.A:Then we need to use a gothic picture
Get one here : http://www.deviantart.com/view/1898432/

This is a very popular one (Wasnt made by me)

2.B:Now we have to resize it
Go to image --> Image size
on width select 350

2.C:Now press ctrl+a then ctrl+c to copy it

now paste in onto your document and position it correctly

2.D:Now its going to be hard to hard to cut out its background

Prefferably go to filter-->Extract and start extracting it or use the eraser tool , magic wand doesnt work

You should have somethign similar to this now

Download a gothic font off of there , i prefer cerobyte
Type in your name and your quote (if you have one) with your disired font
Now we apply a style


1.Drop shadow with default settings

2.Outer glow with this colour
910000

and the size of 5

3.inner glow with size of 1 and this colour
910000

4.Gradient overlay with these colours

black and 910000

angle of 82
opacity of 42

you should have this after you lower the texts opacity to 79 and set bledning mode to overlay



If you haev a quote use the same style and use the font pixel or bank gothic


now a quick 3 pixel border

ctrl+shift+n to make a new layer

with your rectangular marquee tool select the whole of your sig

go to edit < stroke 3 pixels of black colour in the INSIDE , MAKE SURE THE STTING IS SET TO INSIDE

then 2 pixel of 303031

then 1 pixel of black again

you should have this





There you go , your basic gothic signature , have fun and play around with settings

good job i would try it right now but im busy building a site will it still be here with in a week? by then i hope too have figured out dreamweaver then ill give this a try.
