How u upgrade items

u can upgrade on non-ladder i seen a up'd eth shaft yesterday

That might have been becouse the staff came from a ladder char who was turned non-ladder with the ladder-reset.

1 thing you can only upgrade an item once (i think) and it cant be degraded
armor upgrade; lem, ko, p.diamond
weapon upgrade; lum pul and wat gem i 4got gota look it up check battle.net if u wana know all the rules and stuff.

no, no. you can upgrade a normal unique item to exceptional unique on non-ladder. you can only upgrade exceptional uniques to elite uniques on ladder. so yes, the shaft was a ladder season 1 shaft. if you dont know what normal, exceptional, and elite unique means, go to google.com, type in arreats summit, hit I'm feeling lucky, and read through it thoroughly.

you need to put diffrent gems like the combo 1 sword 3 dif chiped gems will get u a better sword for non unqiues

you can also use skulls to put in the combos and other items like bows and stuff and u need to make 2 combos in act2 and 3 to beat them

i tried arreat summit before but some of their combos dont work i dont remmber witch ones but im sure it was that site

arreat summit is always right. maybe u tried a superior item or something but read the descriptions on the site. i've used every cube recipe on that site before

Yes, the upgrading recipe with the lem ko pdiamond and lum pul pemerald are Ladder only, and Unique items only.

you just gotta make sure you get the right item base. and make sure it meets all the requirements to be upgraded
