Hey, i am building a blizz sorc and was wondering if it is better to max out cold bolt, blast, glacier first and put the rest into cold mastery or should would i do more damage by maxing out mastery first?
Also is it better to have orb is a backup or is that just a waste of time? thanks!

Max in this order:
Blizzard
Glacial Spike
Ice Blast
Cold Mastery
Ice Bolt
You should already have around 5 points in ice bolt when you were lvl 1-5.

depends if you want it pvp or a rusher. If you don't want pvp i'd put a point in warmth, telekinesis, teleport, and the other pre requisites for energy shield. If you have plus skill gear then you don't have to worry about pouring points into either one of those skills, but even at lvl one it's not too horrible for a rusher or pvm.

I forgot shiver armor, x_X''. But yeah, a point in shiver armor will give you good defensive bonus, and your plus gear will give it more juice.
alright cool...thanks....i am building an mfer..hope blizz is enough :devilish:
then do you think 10 is about right for cold mastery?

those are some really sad guides.
1. put 1 point in e-shield 1 in a frozen armor, 1 point in warmth, max all the synergies for blizz, and max cold mastery last. if u do this correctly u should reach around 5.2-5.5k dmg with your basic mf gear, with around 150% cold mastery. with good pvp gear u can reach around 200% mastery and around max blizz dmg
for stats:
if you got a fast computer this build will be fun and pretty easy.
str: as much as u need for gear
dex: non (sorc is a ranged char, not melee, and anyway ur merc will protect you
vitality: all the rest
energy: around 120-150 or so
mf gear:
perf topaz shako
maras ammy
ptopaz ire
ist occy
um or ist lidless
snowclash
2 sojs
perf chances
high travs
weapon 2 shield 2: either u can use fathom and lidless on switch to help with mfing or u can use cta and lidless on switch
and in any event dont use a ss or you will be laughed at

You should have 75 in dex if you like to use wizardspike. It gives the most fast cast and most resistance out of any existing weapon.
And you have much more MF by using tal's ammy+armor+belt compared to snowclash and skullders.
For duelling, and you want high block, go for a whistan's guard with Shael or um rune in it.
Most people don't even bother to level up a merc to be able to fight in hell, and mercs recruited from hell suck, anyways. Use a point into thunderstorm for stunning nearby monsters, along with glacial spike to chill them and then blast them using Blizzard. Good way to kill off melee monsters once you are able to master the technique.
