Well yes spelling is important but seems to be forgotten in this thread that English isn't the first language for everyone around here. For me English is a distant third language and my English skills wont have any effect on my salary.
Then again the more languages you master the better chance you have of getting a decent job.

Then there is the so called leet speak,, now this is something that should be avoided at least on forums,, leave that in the chat rooms and games.

I don't get why people don't use proper spelling, I'm a writer and I dont spell 100% correctly, but if you can try and make thing's slightly more understandable that would be nice.
Oh, and Spikes good point I never thought that some one here could be speaking english as a second language.

I resent this, as I have yet to reach the age of 50 and yet I can spell 99.9% correctly (always room for improvement I think) besides I really didn't want to spend the rest of my life asking "Would you like fries with that?"
Also speech is not spelled speash...(see above statement)!
