Mercs And MFing

i have a few questions

one. is this good merc equip for a cold only mf sorc. low insight, shaft(with 15ias), and tals mask(with ptopaz)

and 1 thing i heard, if you have like, say, 480 mf. and your merc has say, 100. if you let your merc kill, will it act as if you killed him with 580 mf? or only the 100 from the merc?

its descent equip if your not rich.. tals could upgrade to andys, shaft to eth fort and low insight to infinity/high insight. (also if you dont need the mana you could go with a more powerful weapon for your merc - I just use a 300%ED bonehew... not very expensive)

question 1. yes that is decent if its the best you can spare
question 2. yes you will have 580 on whatever your merc kills and 480 on what you kill
