1.. because your mp3 players have like half inch speakers in it and your guitar amp generally has around 1 12" to 4 12" depending on what ur running..
-the only way to get a solid sound from that is to hook ur mp3 player with a male to male speaker cable and then hook directly to your amplifier and make sure your amp is on clean.. then it sounds alot better.. but playing through your guitars pickups isnt a great idea because of sound clarity..
and if u want to get unreal.. then you can buy a 12" car sub and a power inverter that converts your 120 to 12volt.. and hook your car sub to your computer speakers which will really give some punch.. only one sub is really necessary.. honestly 8" subwoofers out of home theater systems sound the best with pc speakers
