Why do people make pointless threads?

Seriously, y'all. What's the motivation? Points? For instance, in Flame Wars there is a thread entitled "rock or rap." Correct? Now, Mr.Italy (A.K.A. El Dumbass de Italia) created a Small Talk thread that he called "Do you like rap?" It's just.. Recently there has been a surge in spamulous threads created with no thought whatsoever. I'm sure that you, as easily as I did, can recognize these pointless pieces of shit. I just wanna know why?

Madre means mother. Therefore HE can't hear me because I wasn't talking to HIM.
