if they do come out with d3, then there should be a few more classes with the abitlity to do very meager customization, like skin color, hair color, voice, and gender. also... if they did make new classes they need to come up with more skills, and redo some of the skills that were on d2, becuz there are countless skills that noone really cares about, for instance, some of the necro curses are almost useless in d2,

The new Diablo is called Guild Wars... its made by the same team, just now its in 3d and a whole bunch of crap. I think partly what enhanced the fun of D2 was it being in 2d, maybe i'm wrong.

There will probably never be an expansion for D2 again (it’s a bit late). If there is going to be a D3 it will probably be online like world of warcraft and have features like morrowind (very customizable characters).

I think the story line for D3 will be related to the destruction of the world stone, like something weird like all time turns into one dimension (to much ff8 for me). But instead of this blizzard will most definitely just make a game that’s set in the Diablo universe but wont really involve Diablo and his brothers.<O:p</O:p

A prequel explaining the early days of the three soul stones and also following the adventures of the Horadric mages would be cool also.<O:p</O:p

as long as they put in some new templates for the charcters, i would be happy. that's not true, but i don't want to HAVE to play a female assassin or play a barbarian who's a turd with a rat tail (all your tough just went out the window buddy).

they could easily do a new diablo, and yes i agree 3D blows hard. if they make a new diablo i don't want to play in some game that's an everquest ripoff (yes i know everquest isn't the first one...duh) but MMRPGs suck. you could say diablo is one, but i'll say NO. The reasons diablo rocks is:

1) it has demons and crap in it and you get to bash their skulls in

2) IT'S FREE

3) It's free.

4) it's 2-D

5) it's not grand theft auto

6) you can build a class different ways, yeah about 3-5 each class, but that is versitle enough

7) it's somehow not boring, considering all you do is click a mouse (good job blizz)

8) There's bots that come into your game, fill your screen with tihsllub then you die cuz you were in mid battle

9) it's free

10) and after so many years it has went down in price *cough Halo/GTA*

and 11) they are not charging $55 (compared to the ussual $50 ) like some half-life 2's that we know...... you f'n holes. martass2

jeez your aspirations arent that high are they. all you want is to able to change the gender of your character add some skills and keep it free. I wouldnt pay 5$ if thats all they did to Diablo. With all these great 3-D engines out if the next Diablo isnt 3-D then it probably wont sell well. I'll probably go back to Dungeon Seige if that happens.

If they upgrade diablo either by expansion or D3 then two things better happen:

1.) More advanced character options beyond deciding "Hmm 1...or 2 points into vitality this time??? " and beyond "Do I want a female barbarian or male assassin??". Something along the lines of fully customizable starting stat points and the ability to change out skills, aka cross-class skills at a penalty of course, and things of that nature. Maybe even being able to pick starting clothes and such.

2.) 3-D! If its still 2-D come the next Diablo you wont see me running out to buy it and play it.

dude, it was 10 years ago they came out with diablo 2 and it stayed 30 dollars for 7 years after it came out and technolegy has improved since then, y do you think prices are the way they are now. if they did make a D3 it would be just around 50 bucks.

patches xpack for d2 are just not going to happen...

as for a d3? well don't you think they'd be smart and realize that all hundreds of thousands of people that play this game would like another new game just like this, only new? lol...blizzard...no they turn to world of warcraft - they take a chance at a new game type for their company, and a turn from their chain of warcraft games - dddeerrrr

i believe that in maybe 5 years the game will be announced and maybe 10 it will be out...not something to be expecting....

why take so long? im just look at SC Ghost - how many people have anticipated this? how many people even KNOW about it??? it comes out in in about 6 months, which surprises me that they didn't cancel the damn thing...hopefully some of these Devs move to make d3...but who knows?

my friend said the quit makin patches for d2. and its just a rumor but someone said d3 was to be out in 2006. who knows... maybe its just a rumor, maybe the persons tellin the truth... or maybe the person is just toooooo dam obsesed with d2. i made this a bit long and i gotta stop quotin these ppl.
