how do you reroll your ip adress in windows xp?

anyone know...? im getting tired of waiting out this realm down

Start ---> Run ---> cmd

ipconfig /release /all

ipconfig /renew /all

sorry i tried it and it didint work

sorry to bump this thread again but unplugging or typing that in doesnt seem to work and i currently have a 7 hout realm down and im pretty ****ing mad right now

sigh when i do it, it always re roll my ip back to my old one -.-;; could this be because i have a firewall built into my router..

If you do have dsl just unplug your router and modem for about 30 sec, but if you dont you can change your ip adress by either restarting your computer sometimes or you could manually which you can search on good for

your ip only changes(most of the time), if you have a static IP, dynamic ip however, changes on rare occations (ex. your internet company looses power), and once a week (different for each company), they ping all the routers, to make sure they are still there, if now, that IP is assigned to another router, and when you reconnect your router, you will get a different IP
