512 is plenty, depending on what game, if its d2, you can get away with 256, i used to borrow my friends laptop, it was like a P2, and it ran d2 with little lag, and only had 256 ram, now some of the new games, like Chronicles of R i d d i c k, gl getting that to run on a laptop, and you would most likely need 512 to get smooth gameplay

One fan shouldd be good. Just don't keep computer running at a very high copacity.
