Removing Reps

Well personally i think rep points should be given by the 1000 post ratio...

2 bars for 1000 post

3 for 2000 post

and so on

also i think mods should be the only ones to give em freely cuz they wont abuse them....

kill slayer, i believe that now only mods or those above X posts can give reps now, as per cheshire's message above...i've noticed that i can't give reps no more. . . a thousand posts is a bit much, isn't it? Cheshire himself just reached it, and UGM as well...maybe a bar every 500. though i think rep points for posts is a good idea.

do you know how many rep i got from that? maybe....just maybe two. how many did I give back for a worthless post? NONE. I actually went and LOOKED for a helpful reply to rep for or waited for one. plus most of the time I had no idea who repped me.

I probably wouldnt be so PO'ed if I had gotten a little help when I got negative rep for diagreeing with people about the chat room. Instead ya all ignored me and said tuff shit. Now...once I actually have good rep ya all delete them...even the rep for coming up with the new poll, btw thanks trog.

Maybe you guys should have investigated the posts the rep were for before just willy nilly deleting them.

I'm pissed because I actually get rep, valid rep at that, and then wham ya all decide its reset time. I've got a damn good right to be pissed. If ya all had moderated the rep from the start then you wouldnt have had a problem with it at all. I'm pretty sure you can trace back what post a rep point came from so if ya all thought alot of undeserved was going around you should have started moderating it. Instead you decide your just going to reset the whole thing, minus mods, and **** people off due to your negligence and/or lack of fore thought.

Its a sour bit of medication to those of us who had well deserved rep points.

The only upside is that it got rid of all the negative rep from those people who thought it necessary to give me bad rep for not wanting a chat room.

Well after all that I've actually got a suggestion. If the mods are going to be the only ones allowed to hand out the rep now. You need to create a place or way for people to report posts they find helpful, by providing a link, and then the mods can decided whether or not the post deserves rep. I doubt that any mod here takes time to read EVERY post in EVERY forum.

No the pixel dosent matter (F.Y.I. Its under the avatar). What matters is that I lost rep I had rightfully earned reguardless of how little I had. I'm sorry if those with more than me arent saying anything but thats their call not mine.

Yes I have every right to pissed. You dont have to own the forum to be pissed when something is done that you find to be uncalled for. Last I checked I was a participating member of the forum and thus am allowed to express dislike and like of what is and is not done.

I'm sorry if you just bow your head and pad off into a corner at the sight or thought of someone "higher up" than you but I dont. I prefer to voice myself when I think I've been done wrong.

You've been here a month exactly, so if you did get a few "valid" reps then i'm sure you can make them back pretty easily. 2ndly, there are a lot more ppl who had "valid" reps and lost a hell of a lot more than you did, such as anyone who has made a sig for someone. Kinda like the one that was made for YOU. And don't give me crap that you shouldn't give rep for someone making you a sig cause that takes way more time than posting and 2ndly they are helping you out. As its already been stated no one is begging you to stay...
