Ultimate Charger Guide
I was bored so I thought I’d try making a charge pally using Hero Editor, here it is:
Statz:
Str-170
Dex-55
Vit-rest here
Eng-none
Skillz:
20 Charge
20 Might
20 Vigor
20 Prayer
20 Fanasism
1 Cleansing
1 Meditation
1 Redemption
Rest Whatever you want
Itemz:
Helm-Chamed, Umed CoA
Armor-Umed Arakaine
Weapon1-eBotD War Pike
Shield1-none
Weapon2-CtA
Shield2-Lidless
Gloves-Steelrend
Belts-Verdugos
Boots-Gore Rider
Ammy-Angelics
Rings-2x Angelics
Charms-10 AR GCs, 9x 5 res, 20 life SCs, Annihilus
With this build your damage should be about 5.5k-31k with 30k AR and almost max res and of course if you put 1 point into salvation then your set. I hope this guide helped some ppl in need for a GOOD Charger guide. If anyone thinks of anything else for it that would be better, then post.:devilish:

shield 2 should be spirit pally shield or spirit monarch or lidless... otherwise ur guide seems fine, btw does charge ignore target def in pvp and pvm or just 1?

prayer? combat gcs? mara's? soj? where did u get these ideas?
instead of prayer, u should just max something actually beneficial to charge, like fanaticism or blessed aim.
dmg/AR charms give more dmg and AR than combat gcs. gcs are only for smite, hammer, foh, and possibly vengeance.
i'd choose angelics over mara's and soj any day. based on ur gear and skills, u're not gonna get much AR. if u're gonna try and kill ur opponent, u might as well actually hit, right?
as for the um runes in the coa and arkaine's...it's not a good socketing option. if u need resists, switch out coa for kira's. stick with bers for the DR and get a cham somewhere so u don't need raven frost.
this guide is nowhere close to "awesome". don't flatter urself.

ignor targets def is only pvm

Charge does not always hit. At least it dont always hit players.

And for BO shield, use a lidless if you are non-ladder or a spirit if you are ladder.
Like Azn sayd, get a real aura.
If this guide was awsome, how come you use 5 sc with 5% resist all and 4 sc with 20 life, instead of 9x 5% resist all 20 life sc?

take a look at the charge skill...it says it adds attack rating. it wouldn't say that if it ignores target def. in pvm it looks like u're ignoring target def because monsters are generally very easy to hit.

ok ppl i tested out fantasism and it doesnt do anything for the charge so because of that its pointless. thats why i would use might. i havent tested it out in any duels but killin monsters is good, btw the prayer is so your goin through acts or whatever and you find some guys that are hard to kill or whatever so prayer adds to meditation and cleansing so you can heal yo life and then kill those sorry monsters.

lvl 20 fanaticism adds 373% dmg and 135% ar.
lvl 20 might adds 230% dmg.
can't get any more obvious than that.
some ppl say that blessed aim is more useful for pvp, since charge could do enough dmg without fanaticism. lvl 20 blessed aim adds 360% ar, and also adds a hidden passive 5% per point spent in it.

Right you are Avatar. The key thing with Fanatacism (besides the extra 147% damage) is the Attack Rating you get. Also, if you want to hit stuff, use Angelics. I don't like a Thunder Maul for this build either. I think that the strength requirement is way too high, forcing you to put less in vitality - which is bad.
Other weapon options could be -
Executioner's Justice (Haw... I love this thing. A big dark axe, doesn't get any better)
Bonehew (What a bargain! 2 OS also)
Arioc's Needle (Again, bargain bin here, 50% Deadly Strike is very nice)
... or any other high damage 2-hander. You DO NOT NEED EBotD to be a good Charger. I don't know why everybody automatically assumes that it is the best choice, when there are plenty of other non-expensive weapons out there.

ok i tested again and yes fantasism does give more. hmmm why didnt it show up last time i tested it. also tmaul gives enough damage to do 31k w/o charms ariocs needle and that other stuff does about half that

duh 230% is more then 373%[/Sarcasm]<-(sp sad i know).
