What % do items get upped?

upping works like this

go find the average defence of a boneweave, then take it times the ed of the shaft that will be the defence

this ( i think) is how it works. fine the min and max def of the upped version ( in this case boneweave) divide the def by 100 and multiply it by the ed UNDER 100 (so say, 174, divide it by 74, 56 ed, divide it by 56, 392ed, divide by 92.) then add the def you started with (100's of ed+1) times. so 274ed would be (base elite item def/100, x74, + (base elite item defx3)) and there you go. example-i had a 186 ed hoz. i upped it. i got the lowest def possible for an upped 186 hoz only slightly better than a 200ed normal hoz.

its random and if up eth items u cna end up with a lower defnse then the base item before up (apply to eth items)

id have to disagree its not random..eth items however are. i upped an eth hoz and the def stayed the same.

thats rather accurate, depending on the ed of the reg shaft, say like a 190 or lower will probally only be about 1100 or less.

It is random actually. I had a 200% Jalals (Perfect) I upgraded it and then later i saw a dude with like a 179% with like 100 higher defence. Also Hoz's dont gain defence when you up them. And eth Armors when you up lose the ethereal 50% increase. Weapons dont apply to this rule.

yeah fuggles rgiht dont ever up eth armor unless u want to lose teh def bonus u got from it being eht, u lsoe the eth bonus on the armor when u up it

For armor, usually people don't up weapons, it's lem+ko+pdiamond+exceptional armor in cube

ummm yes, for double upping, if you only upsomething like a chain mail, it can be nl and is also a bit cheaper(i cant think of the recipe) but to up shaft to boneweave, it is ladder only.
