T1 is a way of accessing the internet. It's alot better than DSL or cable ever will be. T3 is an upgraded version of T1, but is very expensive mostly large coperations use T3 and T1 can be found at your local internet caffee

Do you use Limewire? I'm just trying to see if that would be the reason you're questioning this.
By the way, you can take that rep point sh!t out of your signature anytime now.

I use limewire. But I don't really know how T1 is different from cable. Is it just like faster cable? Or is it sattelite or what? I'm very confused.

T1 is a type of internet connection. You would be able to download and recieve information at 1.544Mbps, thats really fast by the way. T1 conncetions cost something around $300 a month and are really only reserved for large corporations which would use about 10 of those to allow all 100 of their employes internet access at decent speeds.
T3 internet connection supports 4.3 Mbps and once again is reserved for even LARGER coporations. 10 T3 connections would support something like 400 employes and give them decent internet speeds. This is even more expensive than T1 and not recommended for home users.
