Enhanced?

Hey, can anyone help me understand exactly what enhanced defense and enhanced attack is? Like why is a 40/15 good. I understand the 15 IAS but what is enhanced defense mean?

it's not enhanced defense it's enhanced damage so it does more damamge and adds increase attack speed

well 40/15s give 40% enhanced damage and your enhanced damage stacks so if your weapon has 160% ed and the jwel gives anohter 40% then altogether it would be 200% ed, for ed and ias as much as you can get is good but make sure you balance ti with resists or else you'll get pwned

it adds 40% to the weapon dmg such as if you wear a sword that says 70-100 damage and you socket it with 40%enhanced damage jewel it will do 98-140 (70+28(40% of 70) - 100+40(40%100) then when you add your strength it multiplys times your weapon dmg (ex. you have 250 str and 70-100 dmg weapon... and it says your normal attack is 175-250 well if you socket your 70-100 dmg weapon with 40%ed jewel it becomes 98-140 plus the 250 strength it becomes 245-350 so if your weapons base damage is high it will help you alot) The main point of this is 40%ed jewels adds a good amount of dmg to your attacks + 15%increased attack speed makes you alot faster (40/15 jewel makes you stronger and faster) I hope you can understand my explanation

And btw if u duno...there's breakpoints for ias too...adding a 15ias [increase attack speed] doesnt mean ull attack 15% faster...U must require to reach the next breakpoint for the ias...
