a point was brought up by my english teacher in class today

apparently, if a gay person was supposedly to fall into a state of awareness like that of the schiavo woman, his or her parents that kicked him or her out of their home at age 16 would have more control over whether or not they take out the feeding tube than the gay person's partner of etc. years.

How is this injustice possible?

We may have high intelligence. But not that high. We destroy the world even more everyday, We leave behind our past everyday. We taint our future everyday. We hate everyone other one of us in some way. There are also other animals who are mammals. Do Dogs lay eggs? No. We only dominate because we use tools. Which are the downfall of humanity, But also its defining trait. Take away our tools and we die, Leave us with our tools and we destroy each other. Plus, Im pretty sure we Evolved from apes. Unless you dont beleive in evoulotion that is. But its been prooved anyway that evoulotion is real. I think.

Humans weren't just always on earth, So i cant see your basis for thinking that. We didn't just go "BANG" and then appear one day in the middle of this.

I'm not opposed to gay marriage, I think they should have equal rights on everything, and I don't see waht the problem is with gay marriage, but I'm not for people being gay either..

personally, i oppose all forms of organized religion. the idea of "faith" is a terrifying one. the idea that multitudes of people can base everything on a word that means "belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence." i believe that to have faith is to lose generations of evolution that formed the very distinct intelligence that you faithful say separates man from animal

I think that people complaining about the seperation of church and state is kind of stupid considering the contry's original laws and values were founded on Christian beliefs and our own stories and even our national anthem points to this. The country is a Christian state really whether you'd like to believe or allow it.

First of all, I must point out that the word 'God' or any other religious item was not found in either the dollar bill or the National Anthem originally, but were actually later added during the World War II era, I believe for reassurance of the people.

Secondly, I don't find that you fully understand why we fight for separation of church and state. It's in the Constitution, a document that holds much more of my respect than the Bible. You're technically being unConstitutional by saying that the country is Christian whether you'd like to believe it or allow it.

If the entire foundation of our country revolves around this document, you would think that the least the country would do is actually recognize it every now and then.

We have A constitution then we STATE constitutions. So sadly we have 51 constitutions...as screwy as that may seem.

i think state constitutions have to conform to THE constitution unless the constitution specifically leaves it up to the states for some decisions where majority opinion differs from state to state

so you can think of state constitutions as sublevels of the constitution, designed to balance the power of the federal and state government

I believe the law says all issues that are not "handeled" in the constitution then fall to the states to make laws reguarding them.

Ok I'll look at each of your points seperately.

1. I never said anything about the dollar bill or pledge.
2. The country was founded on Christian morals and the constitution was written with a heavy Christian influence.
3. Funny that video games aren't censored because of that piece of paper. So maybe it is getting recognition?

Look I've said that I think gays should be allowed atleast some form of marriage right. I'm just trying to give you guys the other side so people atleast wont run around screaming "Omg! Teh govrm3nt be s0 stoopid!"
