Are skeletons viable in the longterm in 1.10 LOD? I don't know much about D2 or LOD, having just bought the game. I've heard of a build called LOM for the Necro which uses Skel Mages as its main minions and I'd like to try it out. Any ideas? A LOM guide? or even tips? Any help is appreciated..
well read my zookeeper guide, it at least explains some experiences ive had with summon necros. i also had a chance to talk to a few lvl 90 necros today and learn quite a bit. first thing i learned, is to take it slow, very slow. trying to rush through enemies will only spell doom for you. another thing i was told was to use corpse explosion, lots of it, some people max it, some put only a few points in it and let the plus to skills items do the rest, but the dmg is the same no matter what, only differences is the area of effect. i was told by a few that maxing both warriors and mages is vital, and only putting 1 point in the golem skills, since they serve only as a meat shield at best. and of course, always having a decent merc, an act 2 nightmare combat merc seems to work best for me, he uses the might aura and it makes difference. as for the stuff in my zookeeper build about poison nova and stuff, its all personal preference, i may get to the point were i like corspe explosion enough not to worry about using nova, because CE really does take a mob down fast. revives are revives, only one point is needed, let plus to skills do the rest, its too hard to keep up with 20 or so of them, and they disappear or die off after 3 minutes often anyway. just a few tips.

Dont bother going for lower resist.
When your magi combine attack, its enough to take out that monster... with a might merc + AMP DAM + high lvl skeleton, you'll never had to worry about monsters coming within 3 yards of you.
What i wanna know is... what is the actualy damage of a skel magi?
It looks like the ice magi is the strongest...
correct me if i'm wrong

no dis or anything, but 1 revive is enough. Their power and life improvments with SM [max] compensates for the very short 3 minute duration.
I haven't put any points into revive- but i will to act as decoys etc. has it chanes like the summon skels? how many revives can we get?
