Blizzard has broken the Fedral Laws of the USA for invading ur computer with a worm code that searches your computers memory space for commonly used .dll files that are used in hack programs. The new Information Privacy Act that was invoked by congress last year clearly states that this activity is illigal..

Reading information in THERE game folder is one thing but to search your memory for dll's made from other company or people is another thing..
If I write a code that looks in your memory for what web page your on or what is in the E-mail you are reading I would be breaking the law as well.

The new Information Privacy Act says it's going to far. Our congress the represents the people of this great country do not want our cival right violated so they invoke such laws. And yes they are in fact spying on you when they search our computers memory for information and files that they themselves did not put there.

i have to agree with cheshire... not only did i not find any coding that constitutes a worm, but, from what i understand.. if that is illegal.. than blizzard can see if your using hack programs, but cannot do anything about it unless they detect it on d2... otherwise. you will know their spying... but then again, they could just see the processes and dismiss you.

Do you remember any therms you agreed with when you installed diablo? Those therms in wich you agreed not to violate the statements about any suplementary programs to use on D2? Well Blizzards has the right to do anything they want to check the quality and scan their users on hacking their program. Why, you agreed with that, otherwise you couldnt install it. DUH. So if they change anything to the program to increase its quality, you cant to sh*t about it exept uninstall. But it seemd they have spared you the trouble

OMFG if you had read the entire post you would see that at the bottom i gave the url to the thread in battle net tech support forums. I dont program nor have the desire to. And the post was not even made by me. Infact i copied it to other forums incase a moderator deleted it. After 30 mintues and ovre 45 replys to that post a tech locked and deleted the thread on a sunday moning. His excuse was this is not a technical support issue. Yes all the threads involving people whining about there keys ad ban were left untouched tell monday. Since when have you ever seen a rep on a sunday morning moderating the forums.

That post is complete BS. That guy is just out to get you paranoid. That code has nothing to do with checking your memory for hack DLLs. Even if Blizzard was to do something like that. It isn't Illegal. A company can, within certain limits, protect thier own software using routines like that. Viruses and worms replicate and spread themselves. Checking for certain DLLs hardly constitutes a few lines of code being malicious. I went as far as to disassemble the DLL myself, and guess what I found?? NOTHING! That text string mentioned isnt even in the damn dll. I DID find some interesting things about guildstones and guild trophies.

Don't spread rumours. Make sure you know what you're talking about before you post next time.

Lines of code like there were already discussed on mousepads forums and it was determined that a dll or some file was sending some sort of info, I know its broad but I'm no programer okay, to the bnet sever as a check to make sure only dll's that are suppose to be there are there. The reason blizz did this was because alot of hacks and such load dll's into the diablo folder that were not there originally. Blizz has for now effectively killed maphacks and bots and alot of other hacks as well with just a very simple check procedure.

In case anyone was wondering THIS dll check procedure is WHY people are getting banned. NOT because there is a backdoor hidden in your maphack or bot but because bnet actually got off their asses and did something.
