Question About Mods

K really dont know anything when it comes to these and yes I should have searched the forums but I feel I casn get away with this because its my first post, anyways all the drop mods i'm seeing for download always give me an exceptional error..
I'm assuming its because I have my 1.11 Patch installed is there anyway to install a patch from before such as 1.10 Patch. i'm thinking maybe the mods will work then?

Well you can also wait for modmakers (check out the Phrozen Keep, the top d2 modding site for updates) to come out with 1.11 patches; I know that Median_2 mod is out, but it is not a drop mod rather it is a mod that makes the game more difficult (which shows that d2 mods is more like an editor type of thing even if you aren't editing in-game, someone else id, and thats why i moved it that section rather than calling a mod a kind of hack).

I am not 100% sure, but you may be able to download all of the 1.10 files (both the patch itself and the DLL's, it seems you can get em here: http://phrozenkeep.it-point.com/forum/dl...&cat_id=28) and drag them into your d2 directory and have it replace any of the 1.11 files. However, like i said before, i am not 100% sure with that, so i am not telling you to definitely do this or whatever, do it at your own risk. All i can say is that if you try to do this, first make a backup of all of your 1.11 files incase anything goes wrong.

u could just back up all ur chars, reinstal the game, and not log on to b.net to patch, if u need the 1.10 patch, just dl it from this sites dl section and run it.

WHen i do dowload that 1.10 patch and go to install it says i dont need to and it doesn't let me

Ok, yeh, do what flamin said with backing up saved char files (located in the save folder), and uninstalling and reinstalling D2, then patching up to 1.10.

wut i did was i back up my d2 charas (this was during 1.10 trying to use 1.09) uninstall d2 reinstall d2 and dl pacth 1.10 from a site that would have it double click the 1.10 pacth to update it to 1.10 and there u go if u want to reinstall 1.11 just go on b net and it will update it automatically for u
