i usually score big on one item, like last time it was perfect ethreal treks. made i think 13 highrunes off of it. i then made myself a pally (39 hoto first roll, 5bo cta, perf 15% bp enima, etc) with a few HRs to spare. made a high eth infinity..
anyway, i ended up making around 3 40 hotos and selling each for 5 hrs apiece. made 2 6bo ctas, one 6/5/2 eth flail.
oh, later on that ladder season me and a partner found a tyraels. i think i ended up with 30 highrunes and a very high eth infinity.
it's usually one or two max drops per season that set me, then i just trade and mf for fun

I have played since the game first came out. Mfing in hell from the start.
best thing that has ever happend to me was in 1.09 patch......i was in a duel game and some guy popped and dropped all his items including a quark bow and some noob picked it up and showed me it. He asked if it was any good and i said it was pretty good, then traded 2 hex charms for it  then sold the bow for 40 hex and traded the hex for items. so that helped me on the road to riches.

I stick with one type of char, normally a pala and run forge, getting socket q and other bits on the way, once i got the gear i need through running and trading i meph run and countess.

Mfing and trading. There are always guys that dont know the price of the item they trade and u can buy it for low and sell it for much more.

All I did was in 1.10 me and my friend created sorcs and rushed people nm for forge. Collected a bunch of ums, traded them for better gear until we could afford an enigma and a fairly well built hammerdin. Then of course we created a hammerdin and rushed people for hell forge and collected ists and traded them.
I also got somewhat rich off those keys, like when people were trading 10-20 high runes for a single key. Even when the price went down I still made about another 10 high runes by trading key sets.

usually, most people have to wait for a big break, or just get lucky a couple times. for me some idiot gave me 4 jah runes for a ormus robe. that guy was stupid i traded to jahs for 2 bers. i made 2 enigmas, got rich, mfing ever since. don't worry ur break will come

Am i the only honest one here? I ran a bot all night while i was sleeping, it doesnt take long. No breaks needed, no wasted time rushing. Run a bot mule the drops, trade em later EZ as Pie.

i like that per se thng... lolZ anyways u gotta have a lot of luck To get rich @ first... after my first enigma it all just started coming @ me in Loads. Lol i remember how happy i was when i first got enigmas and now i give them away for free... diablo2 has changed since .9 :\

I had more than one but i picked MFing in hell. I also rushed for forges and did a lotta key runs. I also got help from my friends when my first account got hacked.

1. While on ladder .10, i stocked up on like...30+ spirits. when ladder ended...MUAHAHAHAHAH.
2. Gambling. i picked up the stuff i mfed that sold 4 lots of gold, and gambled. u mite laugh at gambling, but gheed has given me 3-20 ele circ (which got 1s..  ) 2-20 sorc circ (2s  ) 2-20 druid with 20frw and mana.
3. MFing eldritch, summoner andy countess and then sumtimes cows. Eldritch has dropped a rare, 2-20 nec circ with random mods and eth , a jah laugh:, while countess dropped me a Lo, and summoner+countess gives keys. i hav yet 2 find a really good torch tho...6 runs, and best is an 18/18 sin...and 17/11 barb..all others under 13/13
